Yesterday was John's last full day off before going back out, so we went up to Richmond for the day. Actually, a little further than Richmond, to Henrico--Short Pump area. They have a huge outdoor mall, (with the nearest Panda Express) and there was a grand opening of a Children's Museum so we took Lucas to check it out. It was fun for him, but it wasn't as big as I thought it would be. When I have seen Children's Museums on t.v. shows, they usually are a couple floors of cool activities; the one we went to was more like a really extravagant day care. But it was only $7 per person >1 yr old.
Then we walked around the mall a little bit, and ate panda express. It was so hot and humid that we wanted to leave soon after.
It was a nice day and the drive wasn't too long. I love when John wants to go do things--it was his idea to go up to Richmond and take Lucas somewhere fun. I have become once again accustomed to John taking care of all of us--he has been home a lot this week for different reasons and took care of me during my kidney bout. He has taken more initiative with the babies and household tasks and I miss him even more now. I love you John! Hope this underway goes by fast---see ya in a few weeks :)
