Short Pump

Lucas half-yawning/smiling--he has been having tantrums about every little thing so we hoped today would shut him up for a while. It's going to be fun when John leaves this time...I am going to start disciplining Lucas when he misbehaves. Fun.

Yesterday was John's last full day off before going back out, so we went up to Richmond for the day. Actually, a little further than Richmond, to Henrico--Short Pump area. They have a huge outdoor mall, (with the nearest Panda Express) and there was a grand opening of a Children's Museum so we took Lucas to check it out. It was fun for him, but it wasn't as big as I thought it would be. When I have seen Children's Museums on t.v. shows, they usually are a couple floors of cool activities; the one we went to was more like a really extravagant day care. But it was only $7 per person >1 yr old.
Children's Museum:

Lucky Susan-she got in free since she has a BofA account?? She probably had the most fun too

Lucas' favorite thing to do---gather these 'berries' in the basket and have them poured back in the berry bush...neverending fun huh?

I love fake food. not as much as real food obviously.

Then we walked around the mall a little bit, and ate panda express. It was so hot and humid that we wanted to leave soon after.

It was a nice day and the drive wasn't too long. I love when John wants to go do things--it was his idea to go up to Richmond and take Lucas somewhere fun. I have become once again accustomed to John taking care of all of us--he has been home a lot this week for different reasons and took care of me during my kidney bout. He has taken more initiative with the babies and household tasks and I miss him even more now. I love you John! Hope this underway goes by fast---see ya in a few weeks :)
