I have a big TooDoo list as my computer desktop, of things we need to have done before this transition out of the navy. I have slowly but surely been checking it off, and today was another big one. I gave one of our big couches to a neighbor for their garage, and scheduled the waste management to pick up another big couch, and a broken treadmill. I was worried we were either going to have to pay for bulk removal or rent a truck and do it ourselves, but our garbage company picks up bulk items 4x/yr for free! I am getting rid of things and packing others, cleaning and scrubbing and repairing in preparation to rent out the house. We are hoping for ~$1400, which is comparable to the houses in our area being rented. Since John is gone so much, I feel a lot of pressure to do these things, which require other people's help, which is uncomfortable for me. But we are getting things done and there are about 8 months left til that liberation day!
Here's the living room now--it was so nice to be able to clean almost the whole room in one sweep. And now Olivia can use the walker all around the living room. :)
Olivia likes her new view. And Lucas loves running around and finding new places to get into things and hide toys...
