John's grandmother, L + O's great granny Ida Croce has been hospitalized recently. She was walking and her leg gave out and she broke her hip. Reading about this injury with patients over the age of 85, is really frightening. She has been medicated for the pain, and may consider hip replacement surgery...which is very extensive and scary too. She has been in a lot of pain before all this because of her back which has caused her to hunch over. Every time I have seen her she is so giving and wants to make sure everyone is comfortable and well-fed. Typical Italian woman! I really hope and pray she is relieved of her pain, is able to have the replacement surgery and a quick recovery/rehabilitation. Please keep her in your prayers tonight.
I know I posted these before, but I love them so look at them again :) Isn't she adorable?

thanks iris. Yeah, i am pretty worried, and I know John is too...it's worse for him because he isn't here, or out there, and can't call yet. I am not sure if she wants to even go for the surgery since it will undoubtedly be a lot of pain and difficult to recover from. i just hope she finally can relax and be pain free at least. i think we will be going out there sooner than we thought--depending on what the navy will allow us. thanks for the prayer!
