I don't like either of their muzak, but I liked that Perry was willing to point out the desperate nerd that Lady Gonzo is. It's just a little too obvious that she has no talent or beauty, that she clings to ridiculous outfits, props, and shock-value to get attention, and all the make-up/headgear to distract from her ugliness. I don't know who her fans are, but they must be a sub-species or something to buy into her doodoo.
Of the "Like A Prayer"-esque Gaga video for a song called 'Alejandro', Katy says:
"Using blasphemy as entertainment is as cheap as a comedian telling a fart joke."
I wondered if she would ever seem boring & desperate to anyone else.
And I guess you could arguably say neither of them have much talent, and both depend on their 'style' to stay relevant. Well, I have no argument against that. Except Katy Perry at least looks pretty in her blue wig here, and she at least smiles and can laugh at herself, whereas the other one looks ridiculous and acts prententious and all artsy-fartsy. Plus my brother Norman has a crush on Katy Perry :)
