Some immigration expert named Gloria Etsefan, has recently said that you can't equate "undocumented workers" with criminals....eh, hmm. You mean, it wasn't breaking the law to jump across the border and evade police and the IRS? It doesn't matter if they have killed or robbed, a criminal is ANYONE who commits a crime.
This is ridiculous. We can't call islamofascists who blow up things "terrorists" but "man-made disasters", we can't call illegal immigrants/aliens "criminals" but "undocumented workers." Just look at the facts--I can't stand that people cry 'racism' everywhere you turn. The only people with RACE constantly on their mind, are the liberals that bring it up as a defense to everything:
For example, the NAACP (yeah, the words "colored people" are in their title...) says this Hallmark graduation card is racist because they say the term "black holes" ('a region of space from which nothing can escape') which they believe was meant to infer "black whores". Guess they aren't too familiar with quantum physics, but it seems to be they just are paying people to scan anything for the word "black" and claim another stake for victimhood.
But the Arizona law, simply reiterates (or, actually enforces) current immigration laws. All it did was allow cops to ask for papers stating their legal residence in the U.S. Everyone is already asked for their LICENSE and registration when they are pulled over, what's the big deal to require legal papers if you're being pulled over? Racial profiling, Shmacial profiling. Whatever the motive, if you are innocent, you will be let go. I don't care that every time I fly I am pulled aside and "back-of-the-hand"-ed by a guard--besides, John likes to watch :) I realize that those extra seconds of searching are done to ensure American's are not going to be blown up. Not to mention, people will only be asked to prove legal residence if they are being searched for a reasonable suspicion of another crime. To assume that authorities will fail to appropriately handle what is in other words, a 'fair' law, and go against the racial-sensitivity training assigned by AZ governor Jan Brewer, shifts the true concern to the character of police, not the integrity of the law.
This law is not only a response to the flooding of illegal Mexican's coming across the border to take advantage of this country's benefits, not learning English or assimilating to American culture at all, while not giving anything back (tax-wise, and don't say they do jobs no one else will...simply not true.) It's not just a response to the bankrupting of American Hospitals who treat illegals and are never reimbused. It's not just a response to the illegals smuggling drugs and killing farmers in Arizona. Now more than ever we need to be securing our borders to prevent those "random any-religion humans" (there, is that PC enough?) that cause "man-made disasters."
Meanwhile these same celebrities that criticize Prop 8 (another decision Americans overwhelmingly support) keep complaining about old white racist U.S.A...if they really cared and wanted to help, why don't they go to Mexico and try to help their government improve their own citizens way of life so they have incentive to stay and work in their own country? Why are they allowed to have a strict immigration policy and not us?
Celebrities like this are as useful to the immigration debate as this is to the BP oil spill.. A little known baseball team that renamed their 'Batting Practice,' to "hitting rehearsal" so they don't have to abbreviate it as B.P...oh huh? wait! I just got word on the oil spill--that really did soak it all up. Good Job Brevard County Manatees!
