Today after mass and Lucas' nap, it was so hot we tried out grandma's pool in her apartment complex. It was very nice, and Olivia liked it--didn't cry at all! Lucas just wanted to be on his own; he doesn't realize if I let him go he will sink. The life jacket forced him to lay on his back and tip over, the boat I blew up wasn't holding him upright either. So I tied a noodle around him. He loves the pool and made a friend that he kept playing 'peek-a-boo' with. They were both covered in sunscreen but I am sure my back got a little burned.

yeah, it's crazy to me that it was just a few months ago snowy to the point where we couldn't leave the house. Despite how lonely I get when John goes on these underways (he left early this AM..) time IS in fact passing--it's already summer! We drive to CA in less than 6 months, he flies back here early December and lives on the ship, hopefully has a week off to fly out for his and the babies bdays, flies back to go out to sea until february 18th, when I might fly back here, to drive our other car to CA with him. Can't wait til that day! This is one long tangent!
Yes, I was surprised about Lucas wanting me to let go. He got water in his mouth a few times but still didnt learn. I think we will have to get him some arm floatees and a ring. does eddie like swimming?
