Frazzled Mom Syndrome

I just locked myself and the babies out of the house for 2 hours....I always try to keep my keys and bag on me. Ugh.
This morning I went for a walk at the NQ park, and Stephanie and Lincoln joined us. It was about 10am, and so it was already getting hot and humid, but we finished the walk and thought we'd go swimming in their pool. I came home and got all our swimsuits on, sunscreen, towels...and out the door, which I had previously locked. I lock all the doors and windows so I knew I was in trouble. Thank God for Stephanie being home and helping me. We went swimming, and Olivia thankfully went to sleep even without a bottle. We took a swim and Lucas enjoyed it more in a borrowed tube made for babies. We got out and had lunch---it was so cute to see Lucas sitting at Lincoln's little kid table and eat his hot dog, gold fish and grapes like a big boy. :)
This whole time I was calling my mom to bring her keys over, but she didn't get out of tennis until around 1:30pm. I took Stephanies car, in my swimsuit, to try to get the keys from mom and thankfully saw her driving by in Colonial Williamsburg, so i didn't have to get out and embarrass myself in my swimsuit lol. Everything worked out, even though I had no diapers or bottles! I will probably make an extra key for my neighbor now lol.
Thanks Stephanie.

yes, it wasn't as traumatic as it could have been :) I just was angry that I let it happen! not many people lock their doors out here, especially if they are just going to a neighbors, but I am a little more protective, aside from it being second-nature to lock the door. I do believe my frazzled mind will eventually require that I get a cell phone for emergencies...it's just I have tried to put that off because it's a kinda unnecessary expense...but i am just a little overloaded sometimes and forgetful...i wouldn't want to accidentally lock them in! ugh i dont even want to think about that!
