Blue Bell Ice Cream Tour

Next day we drove about an hour and half north to Brenham to tour the Blue Bell Ice cream factory. It was cool to see all the history and the actual machines just like on Unwrapped squirting the ice cream into the containers to the blast freeze. We weren't allowed to take pictures on the tour, so we took a lot outside the building:
I couldn't decide which one I liked most, so I had to put them all lol

We were enjoying the light sprinkling of rain in the heat before taking the tour.
And here we are enjoying the fruits of our labor (i.e. the tour lol). Despite everyone's faces in this picture, we all loved our choices a free ice cream scoop (which was really a full bowl). They didn't have a sample of my favorite Pistachio, so I got Rocky Road which was delicious. Lucas got Butter Pecan, and Olivia got their new secret flavor.

I didn't mean to allow Lucas to eat the whole cup...but I looked up and it was gone!
It was a great thing to do on a hot but rainy day. The Blue Bell brand really is quality ice cream, which is why the big containers of it that are sold in all the stores out here are almost $7. Needless to say, we did pick up some Pistachio Almond at our local grocer and it's very good ice cream :)

thanks. Yeah getting that huge pistachio carton was a mistake lol. And I enrolled in weight watchers today ...we'll see how that goes. I won't be able to attend meetings all the time, but I will when John is able to watch the babies.:)

thanks crackers lol. It was pretty good. I think they only sell it in the south--and a few states over, like new mexico and arizona. Not going to buy a huge thing again though..I know I ate most of it and i dont even want to think about how many weight watchers points it is.

They miss you too--in fact at the library today, we parked next to a white SUV and Lucas said, "gamma's car!" I had to explain you guys went home but that you'll visit again soon :)
