Feeding Olivia

My breastmilk supply is dwindling. And Olivia's appetite is rapidly growing; she sometimes downs 4 oz every 2 hours! She thankfully is sleeping pretty well at night though. And she does have more alert/smiley times. Even laughs.

I was remembering that I started feeding Lucas a bowl of rice cereal around this age, or actually in the beginning of May. He was sitting up so much better than she is; she does this weird arching back thing all the time which is why you have to hold her facing out. So she doesn't like the bumbo at all. Therefore, she hasn't learned to hold her head up as well as Lucas did here: http://johnsamanthahodge.blogspot.com/2009/05/lucas-first-time-eating-baby-cereal.html

I will keep trying but she isn't quite ready yet.

In other news, I decided to quickly trim some of Lucas' long hairs, but I didn't really take my time because I didn't want to cut him, and he wasn't liking it....so, it came out retarded. But it's just so funny looking that it makes us all laugh. The back isn't bad, but i was trying to cut his front hair to keep out of his eyes, and I didn't want it to be a 'dumb n dumber' bowl cut, so I was trying to do it at an angle. Didn't work. I'll just say it's an ultra-chic-euro-assymetrical do.

Here he is climing on the ottoman, then into the baby walker, where he is stuck. Nerd.

LOL I am laughing because I recently tried to cut Eddie's hair too. He did not allow it and it was crooked for a while. What I did, is I kept working at it slowly every day while he was in the bath :)

I know what you mean when you say it looks funny :)

I used to do it while he was sleeping to. Didn't get all of it, but was able to trim the sides better. This was before we were forced to use the clippers! :)

I came to update my blog and saw that you started her with baby cereal, too. Kellan does the arch thing too. Olivia's so sweet!
