Our 6th Anniversary

Still Happily Married for 6 years...yeah, haven't reached that seven year itch yet!

Well, as usual we are saving up for our move later this year, and our subsequent move into our second house in Idaho early next year. So, here's to another anniversary that we can't spoil each other for...not to say I wasn't a little bratty about it; I couldn't fend off those girly feelings of wanting romance and pampering. But such is the life of a married couple with kids who choose not to live above their means and be responsible for their family's future. :)
But it was kind of peculiar. Today we had an inadvertent role reversal; I mowed the front and back (hard work---does that count as a work out iris? lol) and John for one of the first times ever, washed the dishes, and all the bottles. And yes, even cleaned the counters. Sometimes manual labor makes you forget about little things that bothered you and just makes you feel better when you finish. This is why we look so tired in the above pictures..well also, John didn't get but 4 hours of sleep all yesterday since he was on watch a lot apparently.
Both babies have a bit of a cold, and Olivia has a 100.6 fever. The doctor said it's controllable at home and she is still eating fine so they just advised to keep them both well-hydrated. I think their immune systems are a little compromised since they are both teething. Oh, and Olivia's big poopy butt is already on size 3 diapers (keeps leaking, pooping out of her size 2 diapers)...for some perspective, Lucas is only on size 4 currently lol.

Anyway, it is enough of a gift to know that this is the LAST anniversary to be spent in the Navy yay! It's almost unimaginable- a life outside of all this. I am grateful for what it has afforded us, but ready for John to just have a regular 9-5. So, here's to next year's anniversary gift: a new house! (I will list them in the next blog)

Yes! It counts as a work out. Better than using weights :) Great work ;) Happy Anniversary!

Thanks! I hope to get to go to the gym today whenJohn gets home...kinda sucks because he goes to the gym with a friend who is coaching him on weight lifting, and we have to switch out so one of us babysits. But at least we are both going and trying to get healthy :)

John has a weigh in next month and he usually starves for the week prior...hopefully he won't this time.
