A Bittersweet Sunday

We went to mass this morning and Lucas must've been teething really bad. He progressively got worse throughout mass. He was sooo drooly, snotty and crying. I was irritated, but now I feel bad because I know he wasn't feeling well. I took him to the bathroom and he was terrified of the toilets flushing--I had to try to clean his face but obviously he doesn't know how to blow his nose so it just kept coming and coming.


Then after mass we stayed a little while for the family picnic. There was so much food and it would've been fun to visit with Eileen + Chuck and the kids, but Lucas wasn't behaving, and I was out of milk for Olivia. We did get to try some delicious fruit and ham--Lucas found he loves Cantaloupe (which I always confuse with Honeydew..) So we went to Martin's (formerly Ukrops--they were bought out. It's a nice store) for some delicious deli meats, and some cantaloupe for Lucas.


Then I gave Olivia a bath, as she had pooped all over her outfit. I put this little frilly outfit on after her bath just for a few pictures. I asked John to take a picture of her screaming in her cute matching-hat-outfit, and this is what I get:


But he did get a good one of her too:



John had to leave at 8 pm tonight so after finishing some errands, we just relaxed for a little bit. This time off for him was so nice and him leaving tonight made me (and Lucas!) really sad. He is only gone until the 28th but oy it's exhausting to realize again, that it's all on me. Geez when is Lucas going to help me take care of Olivia already! just playin. :)
