My Funny Olivia

I forget all the hilarious and smart comments she makes throughout the day, but one thing really made me laugh. The other day I was getting ready to go get my annual "women's health" checkup and she asked me where I was going.

I said "I'm going to the doctor."

She said, "You sick, mommy?"

I said, "No, they just need to check my vagina."

She says, "Oh."

She has been so attached to me lately--don't understand it because we have been getting socialized with mom meetups, church and the gym. But even when John wants to hold her lately, she cries for me ...she's a level 5 clinger...won't let me do anything anymore.
Anyway, she was okay with me going to the doctor and I said I'd be right back.

The doctor visit took a while, because my doctor was behind, but also  because she got my blood test results checking on my cholesterol. Ever since I randomly had it checked in 2005, my cholesterol has always been over 200...and if it was close to 200, the ratio of good to bad, wasn't healthy. I never got on medication because I was always wanting to get pregnant, and cholesterol plays a big role in that. When she read my results--total cholesterol was 144, I was shocked! And the ratio is healthy too! I am so proud that my hard work at the gym and dietary changes has provided some empirical proof that I am healthier. lol. I always told John my genes are so unhealthy i'll probably die of heart disease in my 40's, at which time he could re-marry lol. Now i'm not so sure! (to that John says, "aw man, I was making plans!" ha!)

Anyway, back to Olivia. I came home and she hugged me and said,
"Mommy, vagina all better?"

I was laughing so hard because I forgot I even told her. She's got a great memory and conceptual understanding.

sidenote--another thing that made me laugh was shopping the other day we were in the dairy aisle and she walks up to the creamer and says, "we need creamer daddy?" lol! John rarely even drinks coffee so I didn't even know she knew what it was! So funny.
