This morning we went to a mom meetup to have an Easter Egg hunt! It was in Kingwood, a neighboring town, which is beautiful. A very nice morning drive. The kids had so much fun with a million other kids of all ages. The game room was full of toys that they just got right into. Carmen was a great hostess with a beautiful home and family, and everyone had a great time. We had a younger hunt first with a separate one for the older kids (4 and up). Olivia did very well! Lucas was more intent on opening each one, whereas Olivia greedily grabbed all she could see. She did share though which was a surprise. :)
All the moms were very welcoming, as I think I had only met one previously. Seeing moms with newborns made me feel both ways...sort of wanting to see those little legs and feet and toes again, but then realizing how much more work it is! And to add that to L & O's already demanding routines would be too much for this girl to handle right now!
Yes Olivia's greedy hand couldn't wait..
Mary, Christy and Jennifer with her snow white :)
I love this action shot. Jackson's ready to eat those cupcakes!
This picture is awesome too--Christy's so worried about Kendall eating an egg :)
Olivia was generous with her loot.
The older kids raring to go.
Had to get a family shot and we loved this easter egg art :)
The rest of the time was spent in the game room building tracks. Here's Lucas quickly waving to me as he looked through this house, which seemed like a toy store to him :)
Barefoot in the kitchen..where a girl belongs!
Olivia made a friend--Carmen's daughter. So cute together.
Thanks for having us and thank you to all the welcoming moms. Hope to see you soon!
Happy Easter!

so much cuteness oh i love these kids so much. i love seeing all the fun and reading about it. they are just darling. i can't stop saying that.
Lots of colorful and cute pictures! Olivia's hair is getting so long too! She looks like a little girl and no longer a baby <3
yeah! when she lets me fix her hair she does look like a little girl :) She's so sassy...(read: 'bitchy') lol. But at this age it's just so cute and funny. We'll see how cute it is as she ages..I know I say that as if we have no say in how she behaves, and I know we will discipline them and teach them to be respectful..but in some ways, her peronality is just naturally dramatic and prissy!
So adorable. Looked like lots of fun. I love how you took them to church. :)
Thanks Monica :) They usually go to the nursery to play during church, whereas our old church had a pre-k faith formation where Lucas learned about Jesus. I am still new to this area and havent registered him for any of those classes at this church yet...i need to! I want their faith to be strong from the beginning. John and I only started going regularly after we convalidated our marriage in 2008. Still learning and growing in our faith now!
