John caught a cold andwas pretty sick after his magic mountain trip, so he stayed home and slept and Louise and Stan watched Lucas while I made a little trip to Littlerock, to see what's changed. It was bittersweet because all of my memories are of this place. All of my memories of my dad, who I have little to remember by as we have no pictures, are so fresh driving on those dirt roads. This used to be my home, 36243 92nd st. E. Someone else lives there now and cleaned it up a bit. After my mom left last year, it was ransacked and partially burnt down. Those address numbers are still the same. I was tempted to knock on the door and see the inside, but I continued driving. It was dumb of me to videotape/photograph while driving, but I went really slow lol.

Then I stopped by this place called "Charlie Brown Farms" which is a little snack/gift shop off the main highway for tourists etc. It's still cute and has expanded. I bought a couple gifts for family and took some pictures.

It still smelled like desert there--which is a good smell. Palmdale has really grown and there are so many new businesses. The only real bad thing we encountered while there was walking into the Walmart and being asked to signed a petition to legalize marijuana..freaking losers.
This is Farmer's Mart which has a really good mexican restaurant. It's right next to my old elementary school, Alpine:

This picture more than anything else, really reminded me of my childhood; we went to this garage a few times, but that "auto repair" sign hasn't changed and reminds me of my dad.

i like that you took pictures of all these places. very good.
even though they are all off-centered? I don't think they have any significance to anyone else but us. I still think i will print them out and make a littlerock scrapbook page.
good idea. who knows if they'll be there next time.
