Finally, in California!

So finally last wednesday we made it to CA. John called his mom, who was visiting her mother who also lives in Palmdale. So we drove over there...John told his mom on the phone,
"Hey, we shipped grandma a package today. Did she get it?"
Louise (John's mom) said,
"We didn't hear any knocks at the door."
John says,
"well the Fedex website says it was shipped already."
So she checked the front door, where we had put Lucas in his stroller all by himself! We hid behind the bushes and videotaped her---i will have to make a video montage when we get home to VA on my computer. But, Louise opened the door and looked down and said "Who are you!?" She said she kinda recognized Lucas from the blog, but she hasn't seen him in person since he was born 8 months ago!

So we succesfully surprised John's mom, her sister Pauline and grandma Croce. Then we surprised cousin Ken + his wife Linda too! Here are some random pictures of visiting over at grandma's house and eating lunch:











Lucas apparently isn't used to any other bath but ours with his little bath seat, so he was terrified when I was trying to give him a bath in john's room. We had to get johnny in there to play with him and calm him down. He was happy then! And he loves chasing the cats! He screeches at them!
