Uncle Jerry & Aunt Linbeth

John's cousin Teresa's dad Jerry and his wife Linbeth came to TX to visit finally! We were hoping to coordinate John's parent's visit with theirs and the baptism, but John's dad is on the mend from a foot infection. They are going to try again next month, hopefully during the baptism on Mother's Day :)

John unfortunately was on the night shift, so they came over for lunch and a visit at the house.

Now, first let me tell you about my wonderful husband. It's been a while since I have bragged about him, and I have been bratty toward him lately. But these are the kinds of awesome things he does, that remind me how lucky I am. He works long 12 hour shifts, from about 5pm to 5am when he's on nights. Granted it's an awesome company and beautiful office, in a non-stressful environment with co-workers he likes, it's still hard work and long shifts. On Friday, he went down to Plano to buy a used car from a private party for my mom, since she was recently in an accident (with the other driver at fault) and all parties are passing the buck...her transmission broke and somehow Statefarm determined it was "unrelated to the accident" and wouldn't cover it. Susan and John split the cost of a car from a Craigslist ad, and John went with a friend (knowledgeable about cars) to buy it. My mom is very appreciative. He didn't sleep and went to work shortly after.
Then on Saturday, he took my brother Norman to the dealership to help pick out his first car---Norman's 19th bday is on sunday). Norman got a good loan from Navy Federal and got a nice used mustang for a great price. That was an all day thing as well.

Then he brought my mom's car to her, and stayed up for Tim, Teresa, Linbeth & Jerry to visit on Monday. He does it without complaint and really appreciates family. I just notice John does many things without asking for 'credit'; I am selfish and like to be acknowledged for everything :P

So we decided to have lunch at this local sushi place near us. You wouldn't think it would be good because it's sort of in a rural area and it's pretty affordable. But it's definitely authentic and fresh. Reminds me of the place we used to eat at in Palmdale "Tokyo Sushi". I think everyone enjoyed it :) Teresa and I both got Bento boxes. Don't they look delicious and pretty?

Then we visited at the house for a while. Lucas played Connect Four with everyone and won a few times too :) Frankie stayed awake the whole time quietly and happily just watching all the goings-on. He's a little angel.

Love you all! Hope you come back to TX soon :)
