Greg has become more famous lately as "The Five" show has taken off, and he also writes for Breitbart.com. His short op eds are usually pretty light-hearted and witty, and sometimes they are about his musical tastes and current bands he likes. I like to think my musical taste is pretty awesome...but listening to his obscure stuff is difficult. I try to keep an open mind, but it's even more uncomfortable than Mr. Bungle stuff. The only recent band/song he listed that was kinda cute was a song by The White Mandingos. ANYWAY, this was a last minute trip so I grabbed something off my shelf to give him. I told him, "You need to expand your musical horizons..listen to this album"--and gave him this Samantha Fox album from the 80's. He laughed and said, "I'm actually old enough to know who she is!" and I said, "ooOOooh good for you!" :P Then I didn't have time to buy his new book (Susan has since bought it) so I brought the most ironic book I found on our shelf, "Rules For Radicals" by Saul Alinksy for him to sign...lol. Greg said, "now, you don't like this do you?" I said, "no no no...just a joke". I bought it for John a few years ago--we always say we need to know the enemy in order to truly know our stance. :) He signed it.
If you are a fan of Breitbart.com, or watch "The Five", or my favorite, "Red Eye" late night show on Fox, then you must be familiar with Greg Gutfeld. I began watching Red Eye back in 2009 when I was breastfeeding Lucas late at night. I couldn't believe how funny the show was and that he shared some of my values. He has a quirky and intelligent sense of humor that is rare. I got my family into it too. I wrote the show once back then telling him how my newborn got me into watching (since it was on at 3AM when I had to get up and breastfeed!)--they mentioned that on the show, about how old people get up to watch it when they go pee in the middle of the night, and then the other viewers are breastfeeders lol. About a year and half ago, when we lived in Humble, John was working nights so I took Lucas and Olivia, with their babysitter Morgan (she babysat when I had gigs and John was on nights) to The Woodlands Barnes & Noble to Greg's first book signing for his book, " The Joy of Hate ". It was a pretty cool experience, especially because Larry Gatlin was also there--and he was so sweet to L&O--these are from December 2012:
When I was on facebook, I posted this picture and Greg's wife Elena Moussa "liked" it :) Musta been my adorable baby faces!
Here I am telling him that "it's hot" when he takes the pro-life stance on his show. :P
This is the one-eyebrow-raised face he's known for...
Here's Larry Gatlin--awesome guy and guest on Red Eye.

Below is the picture Greg's staff took and posted on Facebook.
He seems like a good guy. Kind of mysterious; not sure of his religious beliefs, seems to be pro-life, and married to a cute Ukrainian model, that he's never seen with. It's good to have him on our side :)
