Having a snack :)
I again only got 4 hours of sleep, but my mind is actually more at ease because my OCD about getting this house ready to move in, is a bit alleviated. I finished up the master bathroom, but my patch jobs weren't very well done, so they are obvious. And we installed the light fixture, but it's too small for this big vanity so we will be getting a bigger one. We will choose a mirror soon.
Then John took out the toilet in the little master potty room lol, and I painted the trim because it was nasty....when you're in a bathroom, you can be sure what each little yellow, brown, or red spot was....disgusting. Then I painted it this light blue color I bought a while ago...not sure if I like it but we are gonna wait til the new floors are in to see whether we will paint over it or not. John also spray painted the linen closet within that potty room, and I told him he should stop because the fumes were so strong...needless to say, he didn't feel good a few hours later and had to sleep off his headache.
So I began painting the living room-- John did a great job taping everything off--we work a good team! (he called us a "hot and sexy paint team"...yes, we are thinking of starting a business lol). Getting on the huge extension ladder was scary as hell and hard. But with this awesome new tool, I was able to do it faster and less strenuously than with a roller:
These walls were higher than I thought...the extension ladder and extension pole were definitely a work out!
This tool cut our painting time in half! no more edger or roller and the paint goes on smoothly. Highly recommend it.

I worked until 3 am on the huge foyer and chimney.
John took out the dirty washer and dryer and cleaned out this utility room. He painted the trim and the shelves, so all we have to do is paint the walls.
To be finished next week :)

After the toffee accents:
The babies napping :)Today I filled in all the "toffee" accents, the hallway to garaged, the kitchen and the nook. I love this "olivewood" color in the kitchen/nook.

I touched up mistakes as best as possible and removed all the tape and we came home this afternoon.
I am so happy to say, that all we have left to do is:
-paint master closet
-paint downstairs half-bath (had to wait because we need at least one toilet working! lol)
-paint utility room.
Then all we need to do is clean up and call the flooring to be installed. It's already paid for so I am anxious to see it all put together already! The paint made this house brand new....I mean it looks great and that was 50% of the purpose...the other half was to have a sanitary layer over all the crud.
And the kitchen sink faucet will be repaired (covered by home warranty minus deductible) next week-with a new chrome faucet and sprayer! We have lots of things we will need to buy and install, but we are pretty much ready to have the floors put in. John will be working nights the next 5 days, so we will go back up on thursday to do our last painting, touch ups, and clean up. Not to mention get rid of all the trash we made. We have a bag of unused things we didn't end up needing from Lowes/Home Depot to be returned too.
Can't wait to get in that house!
After floors we will gradually move our stuff in, and buy new appliances. Still shopping for best deals. I will not be getting a front-load washer--what a bad design. But we won't be getting the top of the line stuff like we did last house---this will eventually be a rental too. I am so freaking impatient...can't wait til thursday to be DONE!
