Bubbles & Puzzles

First--this morning I received this beautiful bouquet for Valentine's Day. John knows I like stargazer lilies--let's just hope they don't aggravate my horrid allergies when they bloom! Very sweet though and a nice little note too. Tonight is his last over night shift for a while, and we are about to move into the house so I really didn't expect anything :)

   So while he slept I took the kids to the grocery store and also to the dollar store. I was a few days late and got to thinking I might be bringing another Hodge into the family---we aren't trying, but it's always a possibility! (no matter how inconvenient the time, I think we always get excited and wrapped up in the possibility so easily :) Then the kids picked out these cute balloons to give daddy for V-day. I got them some bubbles too. Oh, and no we're not pregnant--got my "visit" right after I worked out today lol.

  After I got back from the gym, the kids woke up and immediately wanted to give daddy their balloons...by give, I mean, allow daddy to look at them play with them. Then we invited daddy to go to the park to blow bubbles for a bit before work. Daddy was really good at making lots of bubbles and they really ran around popping them and it was warmer today so Lucas' face got red quick!

Didn't even know I caught this! lol. 

   Isn't my baby girl so beautiful!?

  This is her little bowl-legged squat she does before breaking out in dance...it's like she pausing to hear the rhythm before grooving lol.

 He really went after these bubbles full-force...with his hands, then his body...and eventually by throwing his wand.

 It's funny that we were on a tennis court because the way they were hitting the bubbles almost makes it look like tennis!

And here's my boy Lucas concentrating real hard on his puzzles. Santa brought him these cars puzzles, and after seeing he could do them all by himself, I bought these Thomas ones. He now does all 7 puzzles on his own--some take longer than others, but he's really good and it's great to see him focus quietly on it, and then see his proud smile afterward.

Here's Olivia getting bored of watching the puzzle-builder lol...she didn't take a good nap and just devoured some of the zucchini chocolate chip cookies I made. I was trying to get her to do what she always does in my lap--point out all my body parts, mostly facial features. She tried lol...

Tomorrow we get to go check on how the vinyl floor looks, and they begin the laminate! Pictures and video to come soon :)
