"Planned Parenthood unleashed a premeditated and vicious attack not only on Komen, but also on Ambassador [Nancy] Brinker as well," said Handel, who in 2010 narrowly lost her bid for the GOP gubernatorial nomination. "The orchestrated assault did not happen overnight. It was long in the making."
Good for her. She didn't even instigate the initial pulling of funding from PP--she just was responsible for trying to keep Komen neutral on controversial issues, and focus on breast cancer awareness, research and treatments. Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry are more powerful than you think.
And now our president Obama, one of the biggest hypocrites ever (and never is he confronted with any contradictions...i.e. his super-PAC declaration) wants to require all religious institutions to pay for insurance policies that cover abortifacients for their employees. Then when the churches fought back, he "accomodated' (he demanded that it not be called a compromise..) them by requiring that they point their employees toward contraception that will now be covered free by insurance companies...because that's what our country fought for...free contraception.
I just don't understand it...why the hell is Obama SOOO obsessed with undermining values? Do you think that the president of the U.S. should be pre-occupied with abortion, contraception and abortifacients?...and worse, forcing taxpayers to foot the bill? Besides his "Obamacare" mandating tax funded abortions, his requiring insurance companies to cover contraception free, is only going to increase the costs of EVERYTHING else to compensate....thereby, WE foot the bill...Once he selected Kathleen Sebelius as his secretary of health and human services, I knew he would always be devoted to evil. She was best buds with Tiller the Killer.
I think people like to talk about 'separation of church and state' when it suits their cause---meaning, when they are offended by businesses and buildings and airports with Christmas decor. When a state park has a cross in it. When a county seal has anything remotely Christian in it. But when they want to butt in and demand that churches lose their values and even try to run them, as when they tried to tell a church it could not fire one if it's teachers who became unfit for her position and was replaced during leave (due first to narcolepsy, and then her attempt to sue, went against her Evangelical Lutheran church's teachings wherein disputes are handled within the church). The supreme court decided 9 to 0 that the government had no right to be involved with a church's personnel.
The things Obama chooses to be priorities are ridiculous. And then to constantly hear him claim the 'other side is playing politics', or to hear his white house press sec Jay Carney wiggle his way out of answering questions...You almost feel bad for this guy and Gibbs when you see them in over their heads...as is Obama.
Here is a boring video of Jay responding to claims the mandating religious institutions to offer insurance plans that cover contraceptives...and how forcing churches to go against their faith isn't a "constitutional rights issue." You can almost feel Obama watching the video and saying "whew! I'm glad I never have to answer for any of the ridiculous shit I do and say!"
I just find it peculiar what he focuses on...as if in the terrible state that this country is in, women are saying, "man, my husband and I can't find work, our home is worth tens of thousands less than we owe....I really wish my birth control pills were free-that would solve everything!"
But it's really no surprise...before he was even elected, he said what his FIRST priority would be:
That's what you want to hear when you're choosing the next leader of the free world huh?
If Ron Paul could miraculously win, he would reign in not only wasteful government spending, but government intrusion. Quit telling us how to live our lives! Quit subsidizing the taking of lives!
