Gay

There are so many things to be said about the current issues regarding homosexuality in this country. I don't even know where to start. With the repeal of the ban on gays serving in the military, I wonder why it's so important in the first place. The only job application that could possibly ask for your 'sexual preference', is auditioning for a role in a porn. My point is, the military doesn't need to know about what you do in your sex life. Which reveals to me that the intent of gays and celebrities and politicians wanting this repeal, was really so they can bitch and moan about their 'victimhood' and create another civil rights march pseudo-issue. Why does everyone need to know who you screw? Just do your job. If you enlist in the military and fulfill the physical and educational requirements, you typically get to serve. As with any other job--if you choose to reveal inappropriate details, be it homo or hetero-sexual, then you must not really want the job. Another claim to 'victim' status, encouraging our society to allot 'credit' according to their 'situation', and not pure merit, unadulterated hard work.

The other more important point, is that the military is not just another job you apply for. Whereas most jobs are about generating revenue for a company, the military's purpose above all else, is to protect it's citizens. With such a daunting and dangerous and crucial task, practicality, efficiency and safety trump everything else. Yes, that even sometimes includes civil rights. This means, that since my flat feet could potentially prevent me from performing some of the duties required to protect other soldiers or civilians from harm, I am inelligible. I don't claim I am a victim of discrimination because I understand I would be endangering my fellow soldiers and compromising the security of our country. And guess what? I was born with my flat feet, and it's not something I can hide. Whether or not you are born gay is arguable, but it is undeniably your choice to flaunt it, especially when you know it might prevent you from attaining a job. If they don't want to blend in and work as every other soldier does and they want to wear rainbow uniforms, they should make their own little militia to protect the foreign turd-world country that is San Francisco.

At this point I don't even care if someone is gay, as long as they aren't pedophiles or rapists. I honestly don't even care if they want to call themselves husband and husband. I think all this marching and protesting is just another act of desperation for constant attention (good & bad), pity, and/or admiration. But media and celebrities and authors and film-makers attempting to make homosexuality 'normal' is laughable. It will never be 'normal' to hear about gay celebrities artifically inseminating women to have kids that look like them, as was the case with Ricky Martin, and Clay Aiken, and Doogie Howser...it's just freaky! It would be a little less so, if they would just adopt a child in need of love and care.

But what annoys me most is people whining of discrimination and offense at nothing, while they typically ignore or even take part in truthfully offensive, unnecessarily crude and cruel sentiments and acts in movies, shows, radio and print. As usual, it's the people preaching for tolerance (except if it mocks their own beliefs) conveniently using their little knowledge of the U.S. Constitution to allow constant attacks of anything conservative. And now Anderson Coooooper is complaining about a Vince Vaughn movie's preview saying something is "gay..not like homosexual gay, but like my parents are chaperoning the school dance gay." When shown to GLAAD, they had no problem with it....of course until Cooooper cried over it. Even Queen Latifa is in the movie. Geez. Anyone offended by that is a fag. Not like a homosexual, but um yeah like a homosexual!

Get over yourself!
