Tick-a-tee

John had work this Halloween, but I had to take Lucas trick or treating a little bit since I made his "wall-e" costume. He caught on quickly!

Olivia trying out his wall-e goggles :)

Lucas already wanting the candy after the first house!--he couldn't reach both hands around his big box costume :)

"I got the hang of this now!"

Bella helped him out some of the way--she was a red-eyed fairy lol.

Olivia mesmerized by the glowsticks.

Walking with the big kids now--although he tripped a few times and the box prevented him from being able to get back up...lol

Pretzels!

I think he enjoyed handing out candy just as much. no video of that though...had my hands full. But here he is trying to say trick or treat:

One of the Best Dr. Laura Blogs

She recently wrote a blog about Missy Smith, who is running for Washington D.C. delegate for the U.S. House of Representatives. Smith made a 30-second ad for youtube, in which she shows pictures of aborted babies...her anti-abortion values are her main platform. She has actually had two abortions, and talks about how angry she is that she was lied to.

I feel so sorry for women who have had abortions, because they have to deal with that fact the rest of their lives. I think the only therapy that can help them when they are truly repentant is devoting their lives to preventing other women from being exploited and lied to about their unplanned pregnancies.

I understand that the average person is annoyed when pro-lifers show pictures of abortions. But I have to ask why?

Her ad was pulled from Youtube, which claims the ad violates their policy on "disgusting or vulgar content." Think about all the videos you see on Youtube...why should a picture of a "woman's choice" be banned, if it's so liberating? Many pro-choicers don't even think it's a baby so why is it considered vulgar and disgusting?

This kind of contradiction is never exposed; it's easier to brand pro-lifers as deluded Jesus-freaks who enjoy looking at these pictures. The truth is, people would rather stay ignorant as to what an abortion is, and looks like. Which is the same reason why women obtaining or even considering an abortion, aren't allowed to see the sonogram of their live baby moving around, heart beating, hiccups, sucking thumbs etc (which the abortionist has to look at while he kills it). DOES ANYBODY HONESTLY THINK THAT IF WOMEN WERE SHOWN PICTURES OF ABORTIONS, THEY WOULD FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THEM AT THE CLINIC?

Yes the pictures are offensive, because THE ACT is offensive. And denying those pictures is choosing to stand by while approximately 3700 babies are brutally murdered everyday.

As Dr. Laura said, "Choosing without being totally informed is not really make a choice. It is hiding from actually making a choice."

Here's Missy Smith's page with her videos:
http://www.missysmith2010.com/

On her page, a doctor and professor of pathology certifies that the pictures are taken of babies aborted by Saline (burning them inside out) or "intrauterine killing and forced extraction". If you are truly pro-choice, please watch the ad to be aware of the choice you are supporting.

Dad is home...for the last time.

John came home on friday, to a very happy Lucas, and a scared Olivia :)
I had been telling Lucas that dada was coming home, but he didn't seem to believe me. Then he looked out the window and laughed an excited and nervous laugh and couldnt' wait to be picked up by dad. Olivia cried the first time he picked her up--but she warmed up to him again quickly. For that first night, she would stare at him with this concentrated/concerned look whenever he would talk, specifically when he would say, "Lucas!" She wasn't used to any men around here, especially ones yelling at her big brother lol.

He had yesterday off so we made the most of it. We went to play at the park, to pumpkinville, shopping, and we went to the 5:30pm saturday vigil instead of going today, since John has duty til Monday afternoon. It was a relief for me to have two extra hands that I didn't feel guilty burdening :) Lucas threw a few little tantrums but nothing big yet. Although last night when daddy was giving them their bath, Lucas was trying to drink the water and apparently swallowed some down the wrong pipe...and threw up a little in the tub..had to quickly get Olivia out, drain the water and clean them off with the showerhead, which terrified both of them...but they're clean!

After a mass that ran a little long, we went to our neighbor's Halloween party across the street. Lucas wore his wall-e costume proudly, but it was pretty dark (it was in their backyard) and it was very cold so we didn't stay long. John had to get up early, and it was already 9:30pm--passed the routine time!
Here's a slideshow of some old, but mostly new pictures:

Unapologetically Cheesy :)

It's very weird to realize we will only be here about another week or so, and unfortunately John has duty on both weekends. We have so much to pack, throw away, and clean before starting our drive ~ November 10th. I have already accepted that this trip will probably not be as easy as last years', but I am sure we will have lots of great pictures to remember this transition. I hope these next 4 months go quickly and smoothly!

Susan G. Komen...

I was talking with my neighbor today, and she informed me of an important issue. She prefaced it with "I think you're rubbing off on me," which I am totally flattered by :)

We talked about how everywhere you look, we are being told to be aware of breast cancer...everything you buy, is in a special pink box...how her daughters are coming home from school with "Save the Tatas" crap. It makes you wonder why there is so much emphasis on breast cancer, when it is typically a lot less serious than other cancers. Why is everything covered in pink?

Well, she looked into it and we figured it out. The Susan G. Komen Foundation, which supposedly aims to find a cure for breast cancer, gives hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants to Planned Parenthood. So basically all this "Save The Tatas" (and what a stupid way to try to get kids and men interested in their cause) crap is propaganda to make more money for the abortion industry. It's not so much about informing women of breast cancer, than it is a fundraiser for evil, and a sneaky way to get people's support monetarily and not, to reward mass murderers and the politician's that protect their right to do it.

When you see a car with a pink ribbon saying "Save the Tatas," what they are really unwittingly saying is "kill the babies". Not to mention all the studies that suggest a strong connection between having abortions, and contracting breast cancer. The Susan G. Komen foundation was founded by Susan's (who died from breast cancer at age 36) sister Nancy Brinker, who served on the advisory board for the Dallas Planned Parenthood. It is very unfortunate that she is a Republican who was appointed 'Chief of Protocol' by President Bush in 2007. Any politician who doesn't put the right to live above everything else, loses major points with me. I don't care that the Susan G. Komen Foundation explains their grants to PP, by saying that they perform 'breast exams for un-insured poor women'. (As if women rush into Planned Parenthood for anything other than killing babies--whether through 'contraceptives' or by the bloody hands of a psychopath). It doesn't even matter anyway because the funds are still going to an organization that kills, regardless of how they allot the money.

Back in 2004, Eve Sanchez Silver who worked as a medical research analyst for the Komen Foundation, and also a two-time breast cancer survivor, learned about the funds going to PP, and was also angry about Komen's denial of the abortion-breast cancer correlation, so she quit:

"The Foundation has done so much for so many women through its programs and research grants," Sanchez Silver told LifeNews.com. "But this revelation about Planned Parenthood and [Komen], indicates a well thought out funding strategy."
(Sanchez Silver is the director of Cinta Latina Research, an organization that conducts research into breast cancer issues and their effects on minorities. She is concerned that Planned Parenthood targets minorities and noted that such groups have abortions at higher rates than Caucasians.)
Sanchez Silver says that women deserve to know the recent research showing a link exists and that women who have induced abortions are at greater risk for contracting breast cancer than women who carry the pregnancy to term.

However, for minorities, that risk can be even greater.

"Black and Latina women have very aggressive breast cancers, often reported very late, often, unhappily, too late," Sanchez Silver told LifeNews.com. "If there are facts to be known they should be broadcasted, not swept under the rug."

You can't remain ignorant for a second anymore; the crazies are seeping into everything around you. Even our tax dollars will be funding abortions around the world. Be aware of what you are endorsing.
Dang...and I like to wear pink. I already gave up rainbows, now I have to give up pink!?
Thanks Stephanie :)

High School Math!

So here's a cool story. :)
I went to high school in a little desert town in Southern California called Littlerock. I now live on the other side of the country, in Williamsburg, Virginia. About 2 years ago, my mom and brother Norman moved out here and stayed with us a little while, and now they have a townhouse not too far from us. Norman had started 8th grade at a middle school down the street from us, but since he moved to their townhouse, he had to switch school districts. He then started 9th grade at Lafayette High School in James City County, in Williamsburg and he was over at my house talking about his math class and said something about a "Mr. Derse." I told him that was my math teacher's name in high school too--and he said "well, he is from California." I got out my yearbook and Norman said, "THAT'S HIM!"
Crazy huh? From one side of the country to another random town on the other side--and Norman happened to have him as his teacher! :) Well, he is a sophomore now, but I went to pick him up with the babies after school today to see if I could meet Mr. Derse again. We knocked on a math teacher "Faculty Room" and who opened the door but my math teacher from a decade ago! I had him for Algebra 2, Trigonometry, and Statistics AP for 3 years of high school. He was a good math teacher, and I was never nervous in his class--he was a nice guy. In my senior year when I started wearing my prolife shirts and got in trouble, he supported me one day and wore a "pregnancy counseling center" t-shirt and told me it was for me! I remember sometimes he would bring his cute little 7 or 8 yr old daughter in sometimes, and I caught her picking her nose lol. She is now 16!
Here is Mr. Derse back in 2002--I'm so glad I had him sign my yearbook!

John also had him a couple years, but we weren't together until the end of high school so he wouldn't have remembered us as a couple necessarily :) He remembered that John was really smart. True.
And this was from today:

His wife works for an aerospace company and was transferred here, thats why they moved out here. He still coaches girl's tennis too!
For fun, here are some pictures of how he might have remembered me...a lot skinnier!:

He was my favorite teacher now that I think of it. I am glad he got out of Littlerock High School---I am sure these school districts are worlds better. Being a valedictorian at a California high school is like being barely not retarded. He says Norman is a bright kid--getting good grades. So cool that I got to see Mr. Derse again! :)

Why Do I Like This So Much?

I wanna do this!

I'm pretty immature...and maybe I'm just going a little crazy with these babies, but this makes me laugh:

Back to Pumpkinville!

I love how angry Olivia looks :)

Norman and Mom came with us back to pumpkinville to actually get pumpkins this time. It was lots of fun again, and there were so many people there. It was warmer too.

I saw this and thought I was looking in the mirror...My belly looks like a pumpkin I guess...:

Olivia crying at Lucas' kisses :)

Lucas asking grandma for more cookies--she made snickerdoodles for the trip :)

Isn't this the best picture? They both look adorable :)

Here's the teeny little pumpkin we got:

And here's Lucas I think, replanting the squash?

I love this picture--it's so hard to get him to look at the camera and smile lately!

He was eatin some watermelon so his face is sticky...

Olivia Stands

We decided to put a bow on her so people knew she was a girl..when I take them out, she sometimes wears Lucas' old clothes so people always say "You have the cutest little boys!"

Olivia is constantly pulling up to stand, but recently she has been letting go to stand on her own. And now she knows it really impresses us so she get's even more excited. She never fell! She just eventually decides to sit down :)

Susan says she definitely looks like me here:

She's so strong--always climbing and clawing and has thee strongest grip ever! Even Lucas can't always get things away from her :)

My Little $ Store Project...

I sorta followed through with making that "Wall-E" costume out of the huggies box Lucas has been playing with...I bought all my supplies at the dollar store! Who knows if Lucas will even wear it for trick or treating--I just wanted to get some cute Halloween pictures for 2010. I haven't finished it yet, but this is it so far:

I guess it was pretty good if Lucas immediately said "Wall-E!"
I thought about trying to make Olivia, EVE, but haven't found any ideas that'd work. Daddy has duty on Halloween anyway, but Susan and I might take them trick-or-treating a little bit. Our church is having a trunk or treat in the parking lot, but since John is home on Saturday, we are going to mass that night instead. Wish I had a little wagon to pull them in!
