Lucas First Bath!

Here's a quick video of his first bath- we had to wait for his belly button thingy to fall off. He didn't like it initially but then he got really relaxed and enjoyed it. Sorry for the twisting video angles; John didn't know you can't do that on video, without me having to rotate it in movie maker, which diminishes the quality. Lucas smells even better now- i love baby soap!

His jaundice looks SO MUCH better.
I liked that relaxing music during his sunbathing session :) His noggin is so pretty. The shape is perfect.

thanks- yeah he didn't have enough time during the pushing for it to get mis-shapen lol.

The song was Electric Light Orchestra's 'Mr. Blue Sky.' I love all their songs. It's a long song and so I cut different parts that I liked. Specifically in the beginning the verse that says, "Hey you with the pretty face, welcome to the human race." :)

and then the end is all pretty and went well with the video I thought.

I hope his jaundice is totally over with; the dr says once it peaks you don't have to worry about it going back up. We are going to get his labwork done today. his eye is really crusty though and he can't open it. I have been cleaning it and using breastmilk in it and everytime he wakes up its crusted over again..I will have to tell the doctor. Also, his poop seems really watery..i dont know exactly what consistency it's supposed to be, but its yellowish and pretty watery. I hope he's not having diarrhea. his temp is normal though. its so hard not to be paranoid.

I can't get over how adorable he is!
How is he sleeping at night?

I would be parinoid also b/c I am not around babies enough to know what is exactly normal or not! I sure hope I figure it out quickly. I have been doing a lot of reading and talking to people and that seems to help out!!!
Good luck with the Dr.

Watery poop is normal, especially for babies who get only breastmilk. It goes through their little bodies really fast cuz its so easy to digest. It can even squirt at you when you're changing him so be careful! lol
About the eye crust, both of my kids had that as newborns. It is really easy to remedy. With your clean pinky finger, massage the inner corner of the eye 3 times a day. It should go away within a couple days. His tear duct is just a little clogged is all. Your massaging it will help loosen it up and open it.
