Shawna- yeah, his parents went to the ceremony, and john called me briefly so I got to tell him about my appt yesterday. He was excited that I am 50%effaced. I hope he comes home soon so we can share in this excitement. I don't really want to go to MIH tomorrow for another BP monitoring (because I am sure it will go down if i lay down all day), but I gotta do what they want.

no cramping anymore. But john just came home and said lucas feels like he's lower than before. tomorrow is just the BP monitoring, and then tuesday is the appt, so hopefully they will be able to check for dialation then. I am feeling lucas is very likely to be born on another family member's bday- johns is monday, his gm's is the 17th, susan and johns brother kevin's bday is the 18th, and I think there are more that I don't know. I am not so sure i lost the mucous plug yet after reading about it online--supposed to be pretty gross looking lol. Mine didn't have lots of coloring/blood tinged. will keep ya updated--at least john has tomorrow off should it happen then!
So if you do have pre-eclampsia or toxemia (same thing right?) then they are not going to let you go pass your due date if it's a mild case. What is your due date? I thought the 21st but didn't it get moved to an earlier date? I would be guessing a date after your due date, since first babies are typically late but under the circumstances I say maybe on (if induced becasue of pre-eclampsia):

That really stinks about strict bedrest. I would go stir crazy especially when you have that nesting urge. Feel free to call me if you get bored and want to chat.
Hopefully you won't be induced. Since pitocin will make labor much more intense. Having stronger, longer contractions because of it. If you are not induced I'm thinking he'll come two weeks from now on the 24th.
I know your pain about water retention I looked like a giant water balloon with Ethan. I'm shocked everytime when I see the video right before I go to the hospital. You'll see your ankles soon and be able to wear your wedding ring again. Hope all goes well.
