Amidst all the sickness, there has been so much cuteness. I started trying to document some since I hadn't touched my camera in so long. These kids are so adorable to me :)
Here they are copying aunt Susan in her contortion videos...trying to do the splits :)
Lucas says "I can't do it!" all pouty (trying her headstand).
Olivia say's "I doing it mommy!" (Susan's balancing exercise)
Then they wanted to play dress up and I found this old shirt I made circa 2003....I wore it to fly out to South Carolina to visit John for the first time since he had left for boot camp. :) It's freakin small...as was I back then. Surreal to see our 3 yr old son wear it !
A week ago, I forgot how I found it, but I ended up watching some old WW2 cartoon series called "Private Snafu" ("Situation Normal All Fucked Up). They were secret military cartoons made by dr. seuss and all the popular cartoonists at the time (at warner bros) to set examples for troops and boost morale. They are very entertaining to watch, and Lucas loved them! Here's some for you all to sample :
It made me wonder if my grandpa (chief warrant officer in the Navy, POW to the crazy japs in the Philippines) had watched them. :)
So now, Lucas and Olivia sing "booty work" and "booby traps". Lovely. :)
Here are some random cute tidbits from the past week or so:
