Instead of getting the week of oral antibiotics, I decided to opt for the penicillin shot to get it over with and relieve his symptoms quicker. He didn't know what he was in for...I had to hold him down while they shot him in the leg. He cried so hard I felt so bad. But I explained he was a big strong boy for taking it and that the medicine was going to make his mouth feel better. They also gave him a "courage coupon" for a free ice cream scoop next door at culver's. So I took him to get it right after to reassure him :)
He picked vanilla with snickers on top--and ate it quickly! I am sure the cold ice cream felt good on his throat. I hope his symptoms are significantly less intense tomorrow. We are home now and he and Olivia are playing together.
We should find out more tomorrow, at least about my health because I am going to see my doctor in the morning about my bloodwork results, and ask to be referred to the allergist I found. I am anxious to see what happens.
Yesterday I was so dern tired of being stuck sick in this house. So I was trying to think of a place to take the kids out where they wouldn't get other kids sick. We went to the nearby park and had a little picnic on the soccer field. Lucas played a little tee-ball ( I want to see if he can join a local team soon, when he's healthy) and Olivia sat and snacked on golden grahams, apricots and grapes. I gave them a bunch of juice because it was 90 degrees, and we left after only 20 minutes. I wanted to take them somewhere like a splashpad, where they can cool off, but I wouldn't have to worry about them drowning. Still looking.
Well here are some pics of our picnic:
They enjoyed that tiny little outing. Today is daddy's only day off so we went to barnes and noble to use his gift card (he gets them from work for being so awesome lol) and he bought this:

And we bought some new books for bedtime with the kids. They have to have their book read to them each night. I wanted to share their little routine:
So they typically have a bath, brush their teeth and hair, and put a t shirt on. Then they get their water cups and blankies, Lucas has to have ALL 4 of his snakes, Olivia usually has her doggy, or moosey or a baby doll. Last night she wore her rings to bed lol. But certain nights she cries for her "gov" which I only recently figured out, was her glove...or snow mitten. She likes to wear one on her right hand when going to bed lol. They have glow in the dark decals of stars and moons on their walls and by their beds they look at. Then we read a book---lately we've been reading this:

And Lucas has memorized it so he reads it to us :)
Then they whine for "kachow". It was something I started when I was weaning them off the pacifiers. The sound is from the Cars movie, but I get their favorite blankies and count 1-2-3 KACHOW! and cover them with their blankets. They require it--Lucas will SCREAM if we don't. Then I turn off the light and say "good night love you see you in the morning."...Lucas waits til I shut the door and yells out, "MISS YOU LOVE YOU!" and I must reply, and then he says it again, and I must reply, and he usually says it one last time, and I tiptoe away saying it quietly lol.
Will update after tomorrows appt.
