This brings back memories. John and I watched "Princess Mononoke" a while ago back in NY. There is something oddly comforting and relaxing about Japanese animation. It's different because with Japanese animation, there is real pain and tragedy even though it's made for kids to enjoy.
This is one of mine and G'd FAVORITE animes! Have you seen My Neighbor Totoro? Another fave :) Castle in the sky? We can watch them over and over. BTW I love these little guys :)
i think we did see the totoro one---was a while ago, and they all kind of blend together as one "japanimation" movie in my mind lol. I will have to buy some so Lucas and Olivia can watch them with us. Haven't seen castle in the sky---too bad we dont have netflix anymore! i did buy some movies cheap on ebay this week though---because my mom hasnt seen them i bought 'constantine' and 'spanglish.' i know they are totally different but I don't really like/see a lot of newer movies and i liked both of these--am pretty sure my mom will too. Have you seen constantine?
