My stone is about halfway through, but the most pain is when it is about to go into the bladder.
I am so scared and shocked because they initially said I have a 4mm stone in my right kidney, but I now have a 4 mm stone (and a few other smaller ones) in my left kidney, and a 7mm one in my ureter.
I asked the dr if he has ever had stones, and he said he did--and they were about the same size, but he had them taken out. He never passed any, so I don't think he knows the pain I am in for. Everything I have read about passing stones is terrifying no matter if they are 3 mm or not.
He gave me a prescription for percocet and some flomax to encourage the passing of the stone, which I am supposed to catch in a strainer they gave me. Hopefully it won't be that bad and I can find out whats causing them. I am glad I trusted my instincts instead of believing that I had a simple 'muscle strain'.
Oh and by the way, that little arrow I made in the xray in my previous post, IS in fact the stone in my ureter. Yeah, you should just call me a doctor now.
Please Pray for me to be able to endure this pain and get it over with! I am so glad my mom and Susan are here, but I wish you were here Johnny!

Ugh! This is terrible news. I hate that people have to suffer with this. Wish you could have it removed too. :(
well, if i dont pass it this weekend, i am going to push for some kind of intervention; everything i've read and everyone i've talked to says it's near impossible to pass >4mm stones naturally...i want to get this over with and find out why my body is making so many. Thank you for your sympathy, but I have to say, this pain is not excruciating...yet. I have been okay today. we'll see!
