Enjoy another sped-up video. Again, I missed a lot of the good "rallies" they had toward the end, but if John gets a membership at the tennis center, I am sure they will both improve and I'll get better videos.

Tennis Anyone?
Norman, John and Mom played tennis on Sunday at Queens Lake. It was a little cold, but I bundled up to tape them. They had fun (I think) but John and Norman are getting real competitive with each other...what with bowling, tennis and game nights lol. But when John wins, I always tell Norman, "Don't worry, John still belongs to the Navy," and that always keeps John's ego in check.*

Hiliarious. I know how competitive John is just by the classes we had with him in high school. But with those like John it's fun to rub it back in their face when you do beat them. Next time Norman.
I'm no good at tennis, though I never really played much. Brandon's granny is awesome at it and still plays every now and then. I guess Brandon's Mom was good at it as well. I would like to have one of them teach me. It looks like a fun sport. So does raquet ball I see people playing at the gym. There's time.
You should play- you're a good athlete and you're competitive too! I tried raquetball with john a few times, but I always get hurt and john likes to hit the ball so hard it scares me. Once I ran into the wall trying to hit the stupid ball. It would be nice to have an active hobby like that to keep you in shape (without you even knowing you're working out) but it will be a while til I have free time for that. I will be busy breastfeeding hopefully!
You guys do a lot of fun stuff. I'm glad Norman gets out so much. I mean, sometimes I worry about him being sad, you know.
Well john's schedule has been changing daily, so we are trying to take advantage of the time he has off, not just sitting around here eating while he plays world of warcraft lol.
He may not have really wanted to go at first, but it's good for him physically, and of course, as evidenced, he loves winning.
Yeah, I am glad Norman is taking tennis lessons and enjoying them- it's good for him physically/mentally. Susan and I will probably go watch him at his lesson tomorrow night. I will try to get some vid/pics.
Mom is very happy that norman is doing so well also--he is not only getting better and better at tennis, but he is just a happier person and excelling in academics as well. He's insecure naturally for his age, but a good kid. I am glad he is here.
And despite the fact that we are not really celebrating Xmas this year (to save money for baby stuff/a trip back to CA to see his family) john was thinking about buying norman a guitar for xmas--but when I tried talking to norman (casually) about guitars he liked, he said he doesn't want a guitar...he wants video games...(boo) so we won't be buying him a guitar. We will have to do something though, since (as of today) john does have Xmas off.
