Barbecue

We had ordered this Charbroil Gas/Charcoal duo last week and it arrived today. It actually wasn't too hard to build (I yelled out directions and supplied the correct hardware, Norman and John did all the hard work) and they went to get burgers and hot dogs and the fixings late last night to try it out. John hadn't ever cooked with charcoal (I prefer the flavor of charcoal, probably because my dad used it) so he was unsure exactly when it was hot enough to cook on, but he figured it out and we all ate well. :) Too busy eating for pictures last night...

The bonus was the box the bbq came in. No one ever told me how much kids love to play with boxes...Yes I'm kidding lol. Here's my little sick Mario and princess :)

Unfortunately Lucas is sick. When we got back from KC, I felt a little sick, sneezing more than usual despite my prescriptions, but felt better the next day. Lucas began sneezing and didn't get better. Yesterday he wasn't too bad, and wanted to practice baseball so Norman and I took him to the park. I brought some chilled pedialyte to keep them hydrated and we didn't stay long. Susan rode her new bike by and played a bit too. Lucas is supposed to have his first tball game this saturday (in 3 days..) but he has yet to be given a coach, much less attend a practice. I hope he gets to play but if not, I'll get a refund and put him in karate or gymnastics.

He seems capable of playing tball though---he just learned the basics and is trying his best :)

And more random pictures of the new frogs...Peenuhlope and Nicodemus. They were hunting crickets
sloppily diving into the coconut husk substrate last night and eating whatever they caught. Fun to watch, but they only do it at night with the lights off and only their red light on, which is hard to photograph...I used the light on my phone to take these pictures because my camera's flash was too intense.
