Grandpa's House

Grandma Emma is such a strong person. Very stoic and brave. She is still so aware and coherent despite all the health issues she is dealing with. We will continue to pray for her and grandpa, and to keep faith that God knows what is best.

We visited great-grandpa Charles McCammon's house where Susan is staying. The babies get into everything so I had to take them outside, but it's so empty at that house without Grandma Emma's presence; she has been in the hospital for the past 2 months with a lung/kidney condition. She isn't doing so well in the hospital, so we try to visit her and comfort her and reassure---but if you've ever met her, you know she is very sure of herself and her place in heaven :)
Here are some pictures of their miraculously maintained home, which has probably changed very little over the >50 yrs they've kept it. They work so hard to keep everything working and clean. I remember playing in the toy room, and with the piano, and breakfast with fresh-squeezed OJ, and the back yard, full of grapevines and the tricycle, and huge beautiful orange trees and airplanes landing and taking off over the house. It was nice to see Lucas and Olivia enjoy the house too.
