John's work was 'required' to go to a picnic yesterday, the hottest day of the week down in Norfolk. He decided to invite us so we could spend time together as he doesn't have a real day off from now until he goes back out.
It was very crowded with Navy folk, but we didn't stay too long since the babies were both red. Lucas was shy at first when meeting John's friends, but warmed up to them quickly and kept doing his trick for them:
Then we got snowcones and met the cow from Chick Fila, which sponsored the event. It was nice to be with Johnny and meet his co-workers, and put faces to all the stories he tells me :)
On the way home, we saw the Oscar Mayer weiner!! didn't get great pics in the underwater tunnel, but it was fun to see one.

Oh nice! We have been to a couple of picnics lately where the weather is hot. I don't know if this is ghetto, but I bring out my tiny inflatable baby pool. I carry my own water and fill it up about 1" LOL! :P or I have a water spray bottle and spritz my boys when it's too hot outside :P Sounds like a fun day. Spotting the weiner mobile is always awesome!
