That Completes the Set!

John is funny--we have been in need of a new dishwasher since we bought this house 2 years ago. The dishwasher we had was not installed correctly and tilted forward when full. The top cart wheels broke so we only had one rack. But since John doesn't ever wash dishes, his only complaint was that it didn't match the other GE Stainless Steel Appliances in the kitchen.

So what did he finally do? He bought the matching dishwasher, and not just any stainless steel GE dishwasher--the top of the line one. I personally would've spent 1/3 of what he did, especially since I have never been one of those people who puts dishes with food still on them in the washer...I was taught to soak them in hot soapy water and scrub them myself (probably because we didn't have a working dishwasher growing up). But at least we know their clean! Anyway, they just installed it today and it does look really nice.

It has a Smart Dispense thing, which you can fill with a whole bottle of liquid detergent, and it will dispense the right amount automatically for each load.

It also has a rinser on the bottom and the top rack. It also has options for 2/4/or 8 hour delayed washing, and other settings that I probably won't ever use.:)

John's favorite feature is that all of the buttons are on the top of the door, so they are concealed.

This will help Susan's and my back when washing the dishes, since it's not tilted and has a top rack, but I still can't figure out why they would install a dishwasher to the right of the sink...isn't this still a right-handed person's world!? But I am grateful to have it and that John can be happy when he looks at the kitchen lol. We will probably eventually change the countertops, but obviously a family car is top priority--the clock is tickin'-we have about 6 months left!

Unfortunately I'm the dishwasher in our home:( I'm jealous. I love stainless steel appliances too. Very nice choice John.
