I found some video from last October when my sister Sarah and her 4 yr old Raquel came to visit for my baby shower. I thought it was cute so I wanted to share. I can't believe how small my belly was then lol (at ~28 weeks). Just about 10 weeks before Lucas came! The video is at our house before we had the wood flooring put in, when Raquel met our rowdy doggies. Enjoy--

Raquel is so much bigger now, you should see her! She must have grown about 2 inches at least since this was recorded.
she sure looks like a big girl doing the pledge of allegiance! i thought it was funny how she kept saying "stand up stand up!" and i didnt lol. but she was really good with the dogs--we might end up bringing them with us when we go--they would probably stay at johns moms house though.

well, it's basically (as usual) a if/when situation. Right now, John has a month long deployment starting May 18th. We just refi'd so we have to get a couple big spending goals checked off our list (buy a family car, build a fence etc) so once those are done, we will be bringing lucas and possibly the doggies out. Not sure if we are driving or flying (i honestly would prefer driving with Lucas).
john says we will most likely go in october. We are staying with his parents and mainly going to visit johns grandma, and have her meet lucas. I don't know how much longer she will live and we really need to go out there and see her.
I would also like to visit grandma emma and charles. so, i think we should have a get-together there, if you can bring the girls over on one of those days. I would like to stay with them for a day or so (depends on john and his family).
And Iris is welcome of course too--not sure where you live, but if you and eddie could make it out it would be really fun to see the boys together so close in age. I can already see the adorable pictures that would come of lucas, eddie, raquel and maxine!
will let you know when we have an official plan! i think it has been about 4 years since we have been back..since dads funeral. that was a horrible trip. probably why i would prefer not to fly!
Why does John's family have to rule your trip? I don't get it. If you're coming out here and we're your family, too, why are we less important?
you and the girls aren't less important---but I don't want to go to your house if your husband is going to be there. i dont even know if we can go, or for how long but i would want to see you guys...just without the risk of being a.) mocked again, with no one defending me, or b.) everybody acting like we're best friends and nothing happened.
