Team Washington
Yesterday was Lucas' turn to practice soccer with his team of 5 yr olds. He did so well at paying attention to Coach Kevin! He had a great time and already feels like part of a team. Coach Kevin and his wife Amanda did a great job at keeping the fun going and we even stole some of their practice tips for John to use with Olivia's 4 yr old team :P It's kind of funny because John and Kevin look like they could be twins :)He really had them working hard to run fast and stop on a dime, and then kicking the ball back to him. Lucas is excited for his next practice tomorrow!
Here are a few pictures:
Lucas did a great job of kicking the ball to his partner:
Here he is ready to take a break--he always says, "I meed a nap!"
Team Kansas City
And we had our second practice today, where we tried the "whistle/stop" game---it's a fun one! With 4 yr olds, it's a little more difficult to keep their attention but John did a great job--especially since I sat with little Franko the whole time :)
For the last 15 minutes, we got to play a little practice scrimmage with the other 4 yr old team! We used our practice jerseys. They all did a great job and both teams scored! We should do pretty well on next saturday's game!
We also picked up our real uniforms today--I got a quick picture of daddy and Olivia trying their's on before practice:
(Kansas City is for you guys Shawna!! :P )
