Susan just returned from California where she was staying with Grandma Emma and Grandpa Charles. Grandma has a wide variety of fruits and vegetables in her garden, and always makes recipes and jams with them. Susan brought a mason jar of Boysenberry jam home and John and I had some toast with it---it was so good! I love the big seeds in the berries! Thanks Grandma!
An interesting note: Boysenberries aren't natural berries; they were made by the creator of Knott's Berry farm, Walter Knott. They are a cross between raspberries and Pacific blackberries.

John will kill me for saying this, but the first pic looks like he is mocking that one guy from the ship when he is mad...remember what I am talking about?? lol!
Yummy:D I love boysenberry jam. Only have had Knott's. But I'm sure your Grandma Emma's is even better. Homemade always seems to taste better:) I found a knew jam, jelly, preserve... whatever it is, the other day at Costco. It was strawberry and it was organic Kirkland brand. It was oh so good. I think Knott's strawberry is way too sugary, no tartness to it and has huge yucky chunks that make me gag. Costco's brand was everything I love about strawberry jams. You should try to look for it when you go sometime. Can you tell I like food and love to critique it? What can I say:)
shawna--lol...he will know what you're talking about. he was already reluctant to let me put those pictures up!
brianne- i will checkout costco's jam. and you're allowed to critique food because you're a great cook and make everything homemade!
I didn't know Knottsberry farm invented them! Cool!
