*Happy Birthday to Me*

I am 21 years old today yay! More like 25. The only benefit of that age for girls is that I can now drive cars that John rents without paying extra. But, it was an excuse to go to this delicious Hiyashi Sushi Restaurant in Newport News.

We were going to look at car dealerships today for our family car we are buying in 2 months, but it was raining a lot, and there was a lot of traffic. We just went to Toys R' Us and showed Lucas around. He will smile at anything and be grateful so it's hard to pick out things for him, but we got him a little rolling cheetah toy, and another Veggietales movie:

Just woke up inside a toy store!

I want this!

Look at our big boy!

He loves his mama

And then we met Jim, Shawna and Alex for dinner. The restaurant is really nice, too nice in fact to have a freaking changing table in the bathroom, so thanks Shawna and Jim for letting us use the back of your Ford Explorer! But the food was very good (sorry I didn't take enough pictures...I feel like I annoy people with that!) And the sushi was good. I was disappointed that they didn't come and sing "Happy Birthday" to me in Japanese! We got a private room in the back which was nice. John says we're still getting a new camera, so we'll see I guess. It was a nice day and I love how much more independent and alert Lucas is. Everyone has to say hi to him and he's not shy like I was! Although she didn't have to, Shawna is giving me a gift on game night (Sunday) but I told Jim he could just 'let' me win a few games-- that's too big a gift he said! What's ironic is that this is the restaurant that we first met at almost 2 years ago! Jim worked with John and we had a bunch of Navy couples sit at the hibachi table and watch them do the whole burning onion volcano thing. It was nice to just have a private table this time though, since Alex and Lucas would've been scared. Who'd have thought back then, that we'd be board game fanatics and such close friends? Thank you for your friendship--we really like you guys.:)
Beautiful Restaurant

Lucas liked the cool fish tank

"Leave me alone crazy camera lady!

John & Jim's adventurous Sushi (eel and other stuff..) and my boring California Roll

Happy Birthday to me!
