Lucas just tried sweet peas for the first time, and was resistant at first, when he realized they weren't the same as sweet potatoes, but he ate them all! Then he did something else new-he started pushing forward in his walker finally, instead of just backward. He takes some steps, but mostly scoots with both feet. It's still exciting because you can see he is happy that he can control where he goes and move toward something he wants (in this video, his motivation was to get to the camera!).

well, i hope he's going to walk soon. we get a little worried because since the floor is hard and the rugs we do have have dog hair, he doesn't get much tummy time, so he doesn't crawl and can only turn over one way. I play with him upstairs on the floor in my room sometimes, but he doesn't like it. we are going to be refurnishing the living room soon and hopefully getting some nice rugs that stay put instead of sliding around with the dogs lol. maybe then he can explore.

me too! it was hard to get that picture or capture him smiling big like that because when I press the button on my camera, the light on the front comes on in preparation for the flash, so it always distracts him!
p.s. thanks for lending me the cute outfits! (i will have a lot of tiny outfits for you if you'd like them! all newborns, and 3-6 that haven't fit fatty lucas for a while lol)
I hope your pregnancy is going well! I spent my morning in the ER, I had a miscarriage. :-(But there's a reason for everything, and there'll be a better time down the road to try again.

brianne- thanks---john and i were looking at old video and pics of him, and can't believe how different he looks! i think he got cuter and cuter of course! we wonder what the next will be like.
