I just was looking at some clips of Cyd Charisse and she was such a beautiful dancer, I thought I'd share. John and I both like watching 'Singing in the Rain' together, and I always liked her dance scenes-maybe even more than the rest of the movie:
Cyd passed away last year at the age of 86 from a heart attack, but not before receiving the National Medal of the Arts and Humanities, the highest U.S. honor in the arts, from President George W. Bush.

The weekend after her death, TCM had a special weekend of all her movies. It was eye-opening. I had never known who she was before, I only knew that I loved her name.
i like her name too. I will have to watch her other movies. looks like she did a lot of work with both gene kelly and fred astaire.
