Plan B Abortion Pill- now for Kids!

Dr. Laura recently posted about the FDA approving the Plan B Abortion (Morning-after) Pill for 17 year olds and I just don't get it. How much more evil can this country get under the Messiah Obama? A teacher can't give a student Tylenol for a headache under threats of lawsuits, but a 'doctor' can give them abortions, and a pharmacist can now give them abortifacients.
For those of you who don't know, and are being misled by the recent commercials for Plan B (you know, the one with the whores waking up in their beds and obviously realizing "last night was a mistake! oops!") you should know that it's not called the Morning AFTER Pill for nothing; it is used after sex, and therefore many times doesn't prevent pregnancy, but rather aborts them.
The Plan B pill is basically a higher dose of the regular birth control pill, taken within 3 days of 'unprotected sex' and it acts by thinning the lining of the uterus to the point that a FERTILIZED egg, (i.e. conception already happened...so why is it considered a 'contraceptive?') so that the fertilized egg cannot successfully implant and receive nutrients, so it dies and the woman bleeds what she thought was a normal period.
Now, the reason why the commercials can say "this is not an abortion" and "this will not do anything if you are already pregnant" is because a test technically only detects pregnancy after the hcg hormone is released, which is released when the embryo implants in the uterine wall. The test won't detect the hormone before implantation, but you ARE actually pregnant, as you have conceived/fertilized an egg. So these agencies and people benefiting from irresponsible sex/murder think they can fool you by acting like a woman is not pregnant until a stick detects enough of the hormone to say 'positive', when she has technically been pregnant for ~2 weeks.
Why is it so important to encourage kids to keep having sex and undermine their parents authority? To perpetuate their hedonistic lifestyles, and for some of them, either get them more money, or re-elected. Those of you who have kids, I have said this before, but be sure to keep them away from Planned Parenthood's "kid site" called teenwire.com It is everything that is wrong with this country. It's basically like their little indoctrination/hypnotizing site.

New Toy: Baby Einstein Neptune Gym

Lucas got a new play mat/baby gym today from Toys R' Us and he likes it so far. It matches a few other things he already is familiar with, so I know tomorrow I will get some cute video of him with it. Putting it on the hard floor was too uncomfortable for me to kneel and take video lol. I will have to bring it upstairs to the nursery tomorrow when John leaves for 2 days on the ship so look out for new video soon. Here are a few pictures of him tonight with it:

Lucas had his shots yesterday...

It was as sad as it is for everyone I'm sure, but he was a trooper and is dealing with it alright-- a little fussy, but that could also be due to the fact that he hasn't pooped in a few days again. Here's some miscellaneous video with some music for yas:

Stuff and things.

The first five people who respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make! (Though I hope you will!)
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It'll be done this year. {might be a little while}
4. You have no clue what it's going to be. I don't even have a clue what it's going to be.
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same thing to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to leave a comment will win a homemade gift! It may not be great, but it will be fun!!***Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it***

Lucas is 10 weeks!

And we got his Jeep walker in today! I know he will love it when he is big enough to fully reach the floor and push himself, but he seemed to like it alright already! Here's John putting it together:

Colonial Williamsburg

We have lived in Williamsburg for almost 2 years, and we still haven't truly explored all of Colonial Williamsburg, or taken a tour of it to be educated about all that is there. Since the weather was nice yesterday, John and I decided to take Lucas for a stroll through it, although Lucas pretty much slept the whole time. Here are some pictures we took:
This is the Bruton Parish church, built in 1683, where the signers of the Declaration of Independence once worshipped.

This is a picture of it in the 1930's

This was the Capitol of the Commonwealth of Virginia-the first Capital building in America in 1705

This is a postcard image of it circa 1941

Making Other Wives Envious

I was sitting on the couch, breastpumping 5 oz as fast as I could, because Lucas had already woken up crying his head off, and the dogs start barking like crazy...the doorbell rang, and I realized actually how lucky I am to get to stay home and do the things I do for my husband; this is what I opened the door to:

I've always loved lillies!

Yeah, John will read my blog when he gets home and probably be a little embarassed but I am proud to be married to him not just because he is responsible and takes care of us, but because he really does do sweet things for me and I need to notice them more.
HUSBANDS: Take Note!

I had been telling him I want him to be more romantic, or just show me that he values me, but I never thought he really listened. In just 2 weeks, we will celebrate our 5 yr anniversary and I want to do something special together, (provided he has the day off) but it has to include baby lucas unless mom or susan can babysit. Any ideas?

We got a letter!

I sent a letter to my representatives in congress urging them to prevent H.R. 1964 FOCA (the freedom of choice act) from passing and I got a response. FOCA would essentially make abortion legal all 9 months for any reason, give even MORE federal funding to abortion providers, undo any pro-life legislation such as parental notification for minors, and it would force any Catholic hospitals to perform abortions or they won't receive any funding. (AT the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, it was decided that we should just shut down the close to 600 hospitals instead of forcing the doctors to murder, but who knows if that is significant enough a threat to make Obama think twice about imposing his murderous policies.)
Anyway, Congressman Robert Wittman wrote us and even if it's a form letter, I really appreciate it. He says he also believes in upholding the sanctity of life and will work to protect the unborn, should the legislation (which didn't even get to the House of Representatives last December) be revived, which it will, according to Obama.
It was a nice letter and even left a number and website to contact him at, if he can "ever be of assistance to [me] or [my] family."
Well isn't that special!?
This has encouraged me to write congress more often. I hope you guys do too! Find out who your congressman is and write him about your concerns and see what you get back!

American Idol

Alexis Grace (should've stayed)

I didn't vote..I never do. But I don't agree with the judges decision. I thought Alexis Grace was one of the best and entertaining singers on the show, albeit her performance of Jolene wasn't great. She is always better than that oil rig guy. She should have kept Jolene the original way Dolly Parton sang it, and she shouldn't have slowed it down. The arrangement should have stayed too. Her changes weren't good and they didn't fit her voice anyway.

Adam Lambert (pretentious but good)

Too bad...that freaking drama queen adam lambert is pretty good but he more than verges on being annoying and he's so into himself with his emo hair and makeup. I would like him sooooo much better if he would do a song by Chris Cornell--his voice totally suits it.

Anoop Desai (boring unless he sings bobby brown)

Matt Giraud (good but tries too hard to be Timberlame)

Megan Corkrey (pretty, but I get annoyed with her 'singing style')

Danny Gokey (good singer--one of my earlier favorites)

Kris Allen (good but forgetable)

Scott McIntyre (boring)

Alison Iraheta (I think one of the best, but didn't like her last performance )

Lil Rounds (great singer, needs to pick better songs)

Michael Sarver (boring, and sings with his chin..)

I wrote this because I had sooo many people begging for my reviews on the American Idol contestants lol. Do any of you guys even watch it?

Kicking & Talking

To anyone who is not Lucas' mom and dad, this video might be boring...but I think he's so smart and love to watch it, you guys might be able to vicariously enjoy it too! Susan was cooking me some dinner while I played with Lucas. He was in a very good mood and was trying to talk, and kick the little toys on his bouncer--he succeeded.

He has always had a love for my guitar on the wall, but recently he loves hearing me play too! I know he is going to be real into music, just like me. :)

Yankee Candle Factory

Last weekend our game night friend's Jim and Shawna came out here for game night and John and Jim really wanted Red Lobster (for the lobster special they have right now) and it's one of my favorite restaurants. But I gave up eating out for Lent, and Shawna doesn't care for Red Lobster so I took Lucas and she took her 2 yr old Alex next store to the HUGE Yankee Candle Factory Flagship store. It has a vintage toy store, candy store, build a bear, candles, food, gifts, a christmas land area where it snows every 10 minutes, and a cafe.
We stayed mostly by the water fountain where Alex likes to look at stuff, and I fed Lucas:

Here's Alex and Shawna in the cool toy shop:

And here we are in Christmas land where it snows!:

Lucas and I don't look too great--we had a late night the night before!

Alex was a really good boy, even when Lucas was crying! Their gonna be best buddies someday!

All in all, it was a fun time to sit and chat with Shawna, and it helped me resist the temptation of pigging out at Red Lobster! Jim and John enjoyed their little man-date too*, and of course had to brag about how great it was!

Then we decided to have game night at their house since Alex needed to get to bed, and Jim had baked us a cake (i'm sorry no picture!) that said "Our 100th Game Night!" So cute Susie-homemaker! He also had to brag about his winning scores (he added up all the scores and did a whole elaborate statistics spreadsheet) and he put HIS winning percentage in cake frosting! I sadly haven't won in a while- but I get second to Jim a lot which ain't too shabby! Next weekend Team Hodge is taking it all!

Lucas Dr. Appt- 2 months

Well, Lucas had his 2 month appt, but I decided to delay his shots since he still had a little thrush and I wanted to give it time for his jaundice levels to go down more. So we just had a regular checkup until later this month but here is a picture of my chubby baby:

And here he is enjoying the bumbo, in an outfit my mom's tennis friend bought him-this picture makes me laugh:

And later on, he gets angry with the bumbo-these also make me laugh:

I have to say I am dreading his shots...I don't want him to have yet another reason to be crying in pain (his tummy still, his teething, and then the soreness/fever from the shots).Plus John has a fast cruise for 3 days next week when he gets the shots...I hope they aren't too bad!
