Well we bought some rugs from target today that were on sale for $12--mainly for the dining table, and the couch, but also so the dogs have somewhere warm to lay. While we were there, John decided to buy this graco travel system, which is a stroller, car seat, and car seat base. He put it all together just now!
Putting it together, and the dogs enjoying the rug:
Almost done:
And although he may not look happy, he is very excited. He just got done working overnights, and stayed up most of the day yesterday for the flooring to get done. He's a true man and works hard to give me + Lucas so much*.

Nice travel system!
I just thought of when Raquel learned to crawl, when she'd get on our hard dining room floor she'd crawl like a spider, not on her knees. Obviously she didn't like the way the floor felt on her knees. Eh, she barely learned (or chose) to crawl when suddenly she started to walk, so it didn't really matter that she didn't like the floor in the long run. Just a thought.
Shopping for baby is FUNNNNNNNNN! The fact that John is willing to put it all together is super awesome! Look at Schmoopy on the rug already LOL! They do love that don't they?
Love the stroller. I have a similar one in purple and black. It's easy to push unlike others and I love the carseat carrier. So nice to be able to have when they are sleeping. Fun stuff. I'm so excited for you guys it's such a happy time.
I agree with Jose about the floors. Babies don't like cold floors when they are crawling around. But then maybe he'll just walk and not crawl at all because of it. He'll love it when he's older when he can slide around on it.
Oops, I see I accidentally commented as Jose yesterday. Dern I did that on Iris' blog, too.
i thought so.
Yeah, the floors may not be soft for baby, but maybe he will learn to walk earlier lol. It will definitely be cleaner though, and with these dogs, thats a big deal.
I love the stroller already, but I can't wait to put a baby in it of course. Tyrone is already freaking out when I rock the car seat on the floor. we are starting to try to train them to stay away from baby stuff. We will have to be very stern with Tyrone- i can see he is going to be a problem...especially with how possessive he is of Johnny...we may have to cut his balls off!
