A Poop Blog

Lucas hadn't been pooping regularly for a while, and now it's about every 3 days= an explosion. He seems okay with it though, and it looks to be normal according to the doctor and other moms online. I didn't expect it since he is breastfed, but it's not constipation or dehydration, it's just normal since breastmilk is so low in fat and he is growing.
And also at his 2 month shot visit, he was 13 lbs 10 oz which is average weight, and he was 24 1/4 inches long, which is in the 75-90% for length. He's got a normal sized head at 16 inches :)

A couple days ago he watched me in his little swing as I cut the grass in the front for the first time this year...and I am still sore in my back of my legs today lol. But John appreciated it, and we won't get in trouble with the dang homo-ners association.

Lucas has fully recovered from his shots, but May isn't too far away (when he gets his next dose) and he will be older then and therefore look even more betrayed by me when he gets them! He is eating more these days, albeit less often. I fear that my supply isn't high enough to sate him for another 3 months!

Here's a picture I recently found on Susan's camera of just before we had Lucas...I guess my stomach looks smaller now lol.

Ohhh look! There's the belleh! LOL! Don't you miss yours? I miss mine.
Such a nice picture of the family (BL-Before Lucas)

About the shots, I just can't wait until he is old enough to understand what I am saying. I would love to warn him about what is going to happen. And then take him somewhere to give him something nice for going through with the shots. That's not good is it? LOL!

Yeah i do kinda miss the belly. it looked a lot cuter full than deflated lol. I wouldn't mind getting pregnant again now...and john wouldn't either. we were excited this week because I was late, but i got my period so i'm not pregnant again..yet! is that crazy to you ?

i am worried about the shots having an adverse affect on him (i.e. triggering autism) but also the pain he is in. But yeah i want to reward him too. we do already buy him toys, and he likes them alright, but he is always more interested in the tags and stickers..he loves the 'warning' sticker on the little jeep walker lol.

You ARE crazy. I don't know about having anymore

:D hmmm...Well, I don't know Hahahahha! ;) <--I said this after looking down at Eddie :)

Have you been doing sit ups and stuff? My tummy is not quite as pretty as it was before pregnancy, but it's getting back to something I like to think of as normal :S

well i don't do 'exercise' per se, but i do go up and down stairs all day, and mowing the lawn has left my thighs sore sore sore!

But i read that doing sit ups or crunches is bad after birth, because during the pregnancy, your muscles separate (distasis) and it takes a while for them to come back together. so doing crunches too soon, will cause further separation...eek. my belly is pretty ugly looking though..oh well.

Oh did you have it???

In our Bradley Method classes, we learned a little about diastasis. We also learned how to tell if you have it. I was lucky enough not to have it. And Dr double checked for me and gave me the go ahead to start doing sit ups.
But did you know that light exercises can help close it if you do have it?? Here are some exercises:

Of course, your Dr. should feel and tell you if these are ok to do. :)

Don't worry Sam. I've seen some really bad cases. You will get some of your pre-preggo belly back. Plus you are super beautiful, so even if you didn't fully get it back, you can rest assured you are still a hot momma!

I know John thinks you are sexier now than before you had the baby :)
Because you're the mom of his son :)

aww thanks- i hope john feels that way, but i get pretty disgusted lookin in the mirror and feeling my waterbed belly.

how can i tell if i have that diastasis?

Ugh, I got that with Raquel and don't think it ever went away. I don't know for sure tho. I was working out tons in 2005 and I still had 2 lumps on my belly instead of just one. Know what I mean?

Prolifegirly said...

check out this site---scroll down and look at the before and afters...doesn't it make you SORTA wanna get surgery?!
