So in my previous post I made an agreement with John and let him shave his head if he found a hobby for him and Norman, my 13 yr old brother. Does anybody have any ideas for some good male bonding time? The thing is, it will have to be something they can do at pretty much any time of the week, seeing as Norman is in school, and John's work shifts change every week. My mom of course suggested Tennis but I think they want to try something else. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Do they already play video games together?
If not, that's a pretty easy one to put get started any time during the week.
What about building something together for the baby?
Doesn't have to be a big something.
Skateboarding or learning tricks on a skateboard. Kinda dangerous, but boys like danger.
Researching and finding a sweet recipe to make together, for you. Like chocolate and peanut butter pizza YUM!
Weight lifting or seeing who can do the most push ups or sit ups and reaching a goal together.
Girl watcing hahahahahaha! I mean going to the mall together :)
Wait, how old is Norman?
Ah well, those are all of the ideas I have.
yeah making food for me or stuff for the baby would be ideal for me :) but I was thinking something more regular that they could do alone, truly enjoy, and get good at. I think going to the gym together is a possibility...hmm..lets keep thinking here lol.
What about a puzzle?
Do the already play video games together?
they played a little when norman lived with us (guitar hero) but I think it should be something outdoors, or at least out of the house so they can be alone. they both will behave differently if they aren't surrounded by me, susan or mom lol. (i want norman to feel comfortable opening up to john about certain things i.e. our dad's passing) but i started having game night with norman and mom, so when johns schedule is conducive to that, i am sure we will all play. I want them to have something purely for them though you know?
Oh I see you want outdoor stuff. I guess I missed that part. Ok, I did a quick search on outdoor activities. A lot of kid's stuff came up. I don't know Norman or John's personality, but I like to do kid stuff.
Here are some sites I liked and activities would like to try myself :)

Fishing, any kind of ball, golf, rock climbing, hiking, or going to a shooting range. If you did fishing then you can have fish for dinner. Ask them to gut them for you as well. Be careful of snakeheads I hear a lot live in VA. Scary exotic fish.
My friend just mentioned her husband and son going to the batting cages tonight. I came back on to relay that to you as an idea! Batting cages are fun! :)
Down the street from our house they have a place called boomers. They have bumper cars, video games, pizza, rock climbing and batting cages. You can get an all you can play + food special during the week ticket for one price. Wonder if there is a place like that near you?
I like that fishing idear. I want to go fishing but I found out you have to have a license and it's all expensive with all the stuff you need unless you can borrow it from someone.
What about building a soapbox racer?
