I just read an interesting article by former Secretary of the State of Ohio, Ken Blackwell on Obama's tax plan. I am sure we have all been drawn in by Obama's claim to give "tax cuts to 95% of Americans", but according to Blackwell, there is more to it than there initially seems to be:
"The statistics speak for themselves. Only 62 percent of Americans pay federal income tax, meaning that 38 percent get a 100 percent refund of any taxes withheld. So Mr. Obama's 95 percent that will receive money from the government includes roughly 33 percent of Americans who pay no income tax. One-third of Americans pay no income taxes yet would receive a government check of perhaps $1,000 or more. That is pure income redistribution. "
-Ken Blackwell
Meaning those who do not pay income tax for whatever reason (irresponsibility, or not making enough money to have to pay income tax) will be given free money. How does that make any sense when we are already idiotically literally printing out created dollars to 'bailout' the economy, from a crisis heavily caused by risky loans? And he also intends to raise taxes on citizens making over $250,000. And Obama has criticized Mccain for giving tax cuts to the 'rich', without realizing that his own cutoff of $250,000 is not very much for the thousands of small businesses across the U.S. Mccain won't raise taxes period.
Sidenote*-Mccain's plan wouldn't be increasing taxes on anybody, in fact his plan would give tax credits for each child in each household to help promote the growth of the American population, which is at a rate of .88%, below the world average annual rate of 1.16%. People like to say we are overpopulated, but the truth is, the WORLD'S population could comfortably fit in the state of texas, with a property of over 6000 sq ft per family. Part of the problem when it comes to our economy, is that we are outsourcing jobs because we don't have enough of a labor force. American's no longer want to have families; women want power and to dissociate themselves from anything intrinsically feminine- thanks to organizations like Planned Parenthood, they can have their cake and eat it too. One of the biggest methods of boosting the economy, is to grow our population; more labor, more military, more taxpayers, more opportunities for advancement.
Another important quote of Blackwell's:
"Most credible economists warn that raising taxes during an economic downturn only makes the situation worse. Given our current economic situation, Mr. Obama's tax plan is the equivalent of pouring gasoline on a fire.
Then we come to the Team Obama fantasy that the Obama plan would cut taxes for most Americans. Yes, Mr. Obama says he will cut rates for lower-income Americans, but will more than offset that by raising taxes on dividends, capital gains, higher incomes, corporations, estates, and payrolls. But most Americans own stock, either directly or through their IRA, 401k or union pensions. Dividend and capital gains taxes will take money from all those. Those Americans on Main Street who own a house or have other investments will be punished by a capital gains tax increase.
Businesses and corporations do not pay taxes; we do. Businesses don't have huge piles of money sitting in the closet that they simply turn over to government when taxes increase. For every dollar that you increase taxes on a business, they simply increase their prices by a dollar. Who then pays the tax? We do. We do, when the product that we bought last week for $20 suddenly costs $21."
Pretty interesting, and further proving that Obama's whole platform is to make the United States into a socialist country. Unfortunately, Mccain hasn't done the best of taking advantage of all the opportunities to not only present his ideas in a more concise passionate way, but also to expose Obama's plans as what they truly are, which is Marxist.
Ken Blackwell is part of the American Civil Rights Union, which is basically a group that counters the effect of the evil American Civil Liberties Union which has even defended NAMBLA (The North American Man-Boy Love Association...YUCK!). Here he is recently on Fox talking about Obama's involvement with ACORN:

Hi there. I came across your posting from Randy Alcorn's blog...
Just wanted to give you an FYI ;) You said, "those who do not pay income tax for whatever reason (irresponsibility, or not making enough money to have to pay income tax)"
I am one of those who by God's grace I believe pasy no income taz. It's not becuase we don't earn enough, and it certainly isn't irresponsibility. If fact, I pay an accountant very good money to determine how much I don't have to pay. Having children certainly helps...I am certainly not be in the 6-digit bracket, actually just barely in the low 5-digit incomes...(although this year has been very good for my business)...
I'm not looking forward to paying into Obama's tax breaks, that's for sure....
Just wanted to let you know, even though I am in that percentage that doesn't pay income tax, it's not because I avoid it or don't make enough. Well, I guess the federal government doesnt think I earn enough....but my family of 6 does quite well on our meager income. :)
Keep up the good work in your pro-life campaigns. Congratulations on your newest baby. We can certainly understand the pain of your previous losses - and rejoice with you in your upcoming new life in Lucas. :)
Hi there- thanks for commenting on my blog. I am glad you told me about you're not being irresponsible regarding your not paying taxes. And yes certainly having children helps!--especially under Mccain's plan.
I was mistaken in my earlier post, when I said we don't pay either; we still pay 10% income tax that's taken out monthly- I was mistaken since we don't pay at the end of the year. In fact we itemized for the first time last year and including donations to our church and goodwill, our taxable income was reduced by $16,000. I guess my point was that Obama shouldn't be giving out 'free' tax dollars and robbing the 'rich' when we are in such an economic crisis. He wants to keep taking from the 'rich' which doesn't seem fair because the top 50% of wage earners pay over 90% of our taxes already. And they are the ones that boost the economy with their investments. I pointed out the difference in Mccain's child tax credit because at least it would be encouraging familial growth. But obviously tax dollars and money in general is already being wasted on so many useless and failed programs, and to country's that don't appreciate/like us, and we should concentrate more of that money on our own country's betterment. I think a huge part of that is to stop encouraging people's dependence on government handouts and socialist tactics that stifle competition and excellence.
Anyway, i hope that made sense and I appreciate your comment on my post- and hope you continue to comment in the future!
Thanks for congratulating me- we are so thankful to have the privelige of being a mom and dad!
