The Park

Another trip we took to the park...we had a hat day
It had stopped raining a few days ago, but was still pretty cold. We needed to get out of the house so I took them to a nearby park. Frankie loves climbing on the slides with his big sister and brother, but there was water in them and so he got wet and cold. Eusty was kept warm in his stroller and slept. We played for maybe 20 minutes while I jogged around the playground, and got a few pictures. Then we went home for baby naps---which used to be timed together, and convenient for school with L & O...now they are on their own time and Frankie stays up as long as he can. Then one of them or both inevitably poop. Still not potty training that tyrant. :( I look forward to future days when they are not so dependent lol. Frankie still doesn't say many words. Eusty probably will before him.

They are all giggling because I was singing the Goofy Goober song--check out Frankie's face haha!

This was a game of pictionary we sorta played...I thought it was so funny that all I had to draw was daddy's lips and his ipad for Olivia to yell out, 'It's Daddy!" We had fun. They really like playing Hangman too. Guess i'll have to incorporate school lessons into these games so they enjoy school more...i've been too harsh and just wanting to get the work done, that it's not fun anymore. I'll try harder for their 3rd qtr...and we will see how school goes when Toni comes along...John has even less patience than I do--and tends to confuse more than explain.

These aren't great but we played at the mall and got some warm winter clothes, and they behaved so I let them ride these things. Olivia is going to be a scary driver...
And here's daddy's hunk of junk. We have had this cobalt for almost as long as we've been married. Meaning it lasted through harsh winters with salted roads in NY, down to VA commuting from Williamsburg to Norfolk, and then down to Houston in the heat, and up to Dallas as his work car. It's a terrible car and has had many issues, that are really unsafe. The latest of which, his driver door wouldn't open. John hurt his back climbing over to the passenger side to get out. Makes me nervous.

So, I like to figure out puzzles and get things fixed ASAP. John likes to pay money to have things "fixed" which probably would've been unnecessary or made the problem worse down the line. I got the door working again by myself :)  Read about this common issue online and I punched the door under the handle and was able to open it. I sprayed WD40 in the door latch and hinge, but we need a special T40 screwdriver to move the door frame piece out a bit (per the video I watched..). I think it's time for a new commute car for John, but he really likes not having a car payment and cheaper insurance policy...so he's letting it ride.
