Soccer Game 1 (finally!)

This weekend we finally had our first soccer games. Susan got to join us too! First we watched a good match for Lucas' team--my throat hurts from cheering :) Then we watched Olivia's team--the youngest age group, with half new players, did excellent! So fun to watch and they all kept the ball in really well. It felt a tad unfair because the opposing team had a few very little ones, but it all evens out. Last year we had a few 3 yr olds and it's a big maturity difference from age 3 to 4 :)

Doesn't my Lucas look like a big kid? He looks like a soccer pro--and he's really good with the ball. He just needs to work on speed.
Here's a good shot of Dylan and Hayden:

 And a collision!
Next we have Kansas City against Los Angeles.
Lucas had a reaction to what could have been the dye in the drink he had, or the sugar. he was pouting about not getting a goal and not getting a paddle ball toy John promised if he scored. He played really well so he was going to get one anyway, but he was a brat for most of her game. I have seen this reaction before when I tried to do school with him after he had a few m & ms (red dye..).
Olivia was getting in there and trying too!
Our team was very aggressive--here Ethan knocks our first goal in!
Jett and Mason were great! They just need to learn to share and help each other--John was yelling "same team! same team!"
Some of us wanted to check the game out from the other side--get a closer view of the action:
Here are the KC families (little tiny cheerleader Bristol has a jersey on too!)

Supposedly, the score was 8-0...John was pretty happy. It was surprisingly a lot more exciting than Lucas' older game! Next game is Holy Thursday !
GOOD JOB KC!
