Fartin around with my brother Norman :)

Norman hasn't even heard these songs (or at least these versions) and just jumped in with some lead. He only took a few lessons and is already becoming really good at improv. I can't do that...he says I should learn all the scales and try..probably should. I just like singing and playing pretty chords lol.

It was really fun and I'm so glad he wanted to play and wasn't embarassed..next time I'll make him sing!
( oh and in the background you'll hear susan's frustrated moans at super nintendo lol)

I also put up a sped up version on my youtube--i thought it sounded cool.
I miss Susan and Norman already--come back sooN!

BTW, the guitars are in tune, but the strat really needs to be fixed (the wiring as well as the intonation..may take it in this weekend and possibly play it monday night...I miss the sound and ease of my fender strat).

Children's Museum

First we were kinda angry because we went online to buy the city pass for a bunch of fun things in Houston, it only required a pass for adults and kids age 3-11. So when we went to the aquarium and the children's museum, we were upset that they wanted to charge us more for her---it didn't specify on the passes that some of them required tickets for under age 3. But the Children's museum ended up being worth it! It was a little too crowded and I don't think we even saw the whole thing, but man this one was awesome--I think its the best in the country. It would be fun even without kids! Not many pics/vid since my camera card filled up, but we will be going back soon :)

Lucas was trying to build a bridge (that was the assignment) and below, Norman figured it out :)

 A little breakdancing break :)
 Norman's high heartrate
Olivia worked in the cafe kitchen.
Lucas went grocery shopping with daddy and Susan.
Olivia worked in a news station...we did a report, but I forgot to get it off Susan's camera and she left today...:(
John checking out the stock market.
Olivia pissed that we are leaving..but we'll be back soon.

Charles Eduardo Cheese

On sunday we went to church and then had Norman's favorite Jack in the Box tacos (used to be my favorite too). Then we had fun at Chuck E Cheese's. Didn't get many pics since it's always crowded and hard to keep an eye on the kids while we adults get frustrated at all the games lol.

At 00:35 you can see Lucas sorta worried about where the heck we were. lol.
When we first got there the mascot was singing and dancing and the kids jumped right in!

And here's a picture of fat mommy trying to steer the horse...look how upset Olivia was lol.

The Aquarium

The next day we went to the aquarium in Houston--I remember driving by it when we came out here on a whim (lived in hotel for 2 months while John interviewed) because the freeway goes right through it. It was actually very fun--the aquarium was nice and cool inside, and at the very end was a huge awesome white tiger!! and it either wanted to eat, or play with Lucas :)

These are appropriately called "lookdowns"...they do look a little depressed.

Susan has more than a lil captain in her.haha
She really wanted to take some of this booty

The gay piranhas--they had glittery sequins.
 Legends of the hidden temple!

 Dork.
Lucas loved touching the ray as it waved and swam around.
Olivia didn't. Norman was seeing if the horseshoe ray was a hardshell.

Olivia and Susan checking out the rays underneath.
I didn't get any clear pictures of the real white tiger, but video to come---so cool! wanna go back!
Then we went on the shark voyage train. There was a cool tank we stopped under to watch. This is actually not a shark--it's a sawfish. Looks so happy!

Then we rode the ferris wheel. Was fun to see the Houston skyline.

And the carousel a couple times, then it was too hot to stay out any longer.

Next we headed over to the nearby Children's musuem.

Check out the awesome video---the white tiger is so pretty--and wants Lucas for dinner!
