Clear Lake Community Center Costume Contest!

The next evening we went to the community center and they had a bunch of activities indoors (which is good because it's getting cold here). The babies were coming down with a cold, so Olivia had to be bribed to put her box on (she usually wants it on). But she left it on long enough to participate in the contest with her big brother :)
Here she is munching on pretzels and dancing...then a little girl's costume catches her eye:

(There's a little bit of a realization that she doesn't want to be wall-ette...she wants to be something really girly and princess-y...she's already a real primadonna..not even 2 yet!)

I know these clips are real short, but she just looks so cute I had to post em.

There were some really great costumes--home-made ones are the best! This little garden gnome was so adorable!

 AND GUESS WHO GOT FIRST PLACE IN THE UNDER 5 YRS CATEGORY!?

 That's right. My wall-e's! There were a lot of under 5 yr olds competing and some I thought surely had us beat, but the L & O charm won them over!

 And here they are making pizza with me the next day...it was hard to allow them to make a mess, but I know they thought it was so cool to mix the dough, spread the sauce, sprinkle cheese and CREATE their own food. They subsequently ate the whole thing (I swear I only had a few bites!)
