Love Hangover

For the past week, since John was on overnights, I started having 'dancy-time' at night with the babies just before bath time. Surprisingly they really took to it and do everything I ask. I will have to record it sometime, but it's pretty dorky and nothing complex...with names like butterfly, snake, dog, kitty cat, itsy bitsy spider, riding your bike, fly like a bird, fly like a plane, clap, kick, circles, and reach for your piggies--oh and of course run in circles. You know, all the moves Britney Spears does. It's so adorable how receptive to instruction they are getting! Lucas now asks me to "get up" and do a particular dance with him. And he really likes when daddy joins in which is rare--but John does it for Lucas!
   Anyway, I put the music channels on tv for dancy time and usually have the retro disco, subterranean or classic R & B--which is where I heard this wonderful ditty:

Doesn't it make you wanna dance? This is the extended version which I like because it kept the slow part at the beginning a little longer, but I like the disco part too. I never heard it, but I recognized it as sampled in this:

Wasn't Monica cute? And the little Aaliyah dancing. This came out in my freshman year. Crazy.
