Nice Day at The Park

We took the babies down the street to the park again today and we let them play a little while on the playground, but evidently there was some kind of party going on because there were soooo many kids running around. It was too easy to lose track of L + O, or watch them get pushed over by filthy running kids so we took them for a walk down by the water. This lake has jumping fish that entertained Lucas and then we saw this bird in flight, finally land and went over to get a closer look. There are lots of egrets here, mostly white herons that are still pretty to see. But this one was different. I looked it up and it's a "Yellow Crowned Night Heron". We got pretty close til it flew off--and then we saw what it was eating--some crawfish!

LOL You sound like my husband whenever there are other kids around LOL But I hate it when it happens too. Especially if Eddie is in a good mood and playing well.

That park looks really pretty! How's the weather there lately?

Yeah, I know our kids get dirty and rowdy too, but no one was even watching their kids there lol. I don't want to babysit anyone else's while guarding my own. I do want them to interact with other kids though..we'll see.

We took the bbs to our new dr today and I asked about Lucas' not talking as much as most kids his age so they are referring us to a speech & hearing therapist. Hope Lucas is just more physical then verbal--I mean, i don't think there's necessarily anything cognitively wrong, I actually feel maybe since I had Olivia so soon, I haven't been devoting enough time to teaching Lucas...:(

The weather is beautiful here for now...oddly so--supposed to be hot and humid already...cue hurricane season..scary!

I am glad you are taking him for the sake of peace of mind. At the same time, I am sure that he is fine. Remember, he is interacting with Olivia most of the time. I know boys his age who won't even talk at all! Don't worry too much about it and just enjoy your babies :)
